    The GP Las Vegas Thread

It's not Legacy, but who's going?

Koby is organizing a Vintage event on Sunday. I'll be there with three others.

Same here. More excited to meet up with old friends. Treating this one more like a vacation than a Magic tournament.

Are there prizes or is the entry fee for rental space?

There are prizes, but I haven't bother to check what they are. It's mostly an exhibitionist event. I'm not really worried about what First place is getting, but I'll find out what the shop's owner has in mind.

Re: The GP Las Vegas Thread

    Yes, those events suck.

Don't let Cascade Games fool you, their side events (rather, the vendors sponsor them) have awful prize support outside the guaranteed first place. At Grand prix San Diego, the Legacy side event was for a complete set of Alliances + boosters of GTC for everyone else; and a set of Revised (with played duals) + packs of GTC for everyone else.

As an alternative to the official events, Vintage will be hosted off site and provide anyone every opportunity a chance to play the format. It's also only $5 which is likely the cheapest entertainment you could have in Vegas!
