Try this :)
Against rea I trust you that llotv is much better.
Against storm, however, as about half of the cards we see are not from our openning hand, I tend to disagree.
So if your meta is infested by those pesky rea, then llotv is indeed the best choice. On a more open meta, I would prefer surgical.
How many people do you think scg has tricked into playing quirion sentinel?

Both are ok mu, I feel both are very even with the streamline SB that is 2-3 surgicals and 5-6 discard spells, I do not feel the need for LotV. I feel LotV is better on the RB reanimator and Dredge and as equal as surgical or worse on all other MU The thing is you need to mulligan until it comes to your hand, it doesn't shut down storm, if you mulligan to 4 and 1 is a LotV and I am with storm, I'm pretty ok with that.
the only problem about both mu is that their extremely explosive hands are hard to deal with, but their average hands with proper sb card, we can deal on the post-board games, trust me xD.
Hey you all, has anyone ever tried to build a Elves list with burning wish?
Don’t know, maybe a copy of NO and Glimpse on the sideboard, alongside of cards like Reanimate, Gleeful Sabotage, or some grind cards like Reforge the Soul or Living Death, just saying...
Oh, and of course some Blood Moon on tbe sidebord.
My Elves List for GP Seattle + SB Guide
This has been the by far most-requested article of the last years and I worked some overtime to finish it this week, just in time for the GP in Seattle!
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
Hi Julian,
First of all in the name of all the forum users, THANKS for this side guide.
Obviously, side and deckbuild are perhaps one of the most important aspects of the game.
Many wanted to see what were the Side choices of one of the best players of this deck and just for that, thank you!
after the thanks, I ask you a question about the Delver deck.
With my group of tests we are ultimanete arrived to have good results leaving inside the Natural Order and removing the Nissa (which we play in main).
Why you always remove NO, do not you think that leaving them is a good strategy?
Have you ever tried lately, to leave them inside on delver match and remove Nissa?
thanks again
Hi everyone, longtime Elves fan here.
I've never steadily played Elves but twin my close friends have played it for years so I do understand (and really do love) the deck.
As I play Masters 25 drafts on MTGO, I find myself asking if a Retraction Helix or two would work in this deck what do you guys think? I figure at worst it buys time and at its best it can be used with Nettle Sentinel to basically extend Glimpse chains. Is this too win more?

Once you go Legacy...
No more elves players here?
Wife is playing in a legacy League with Julian’s list from Seattle with a slightly modded sideboard. Her first weeks matchup is against Eldrazi with cloud/glimmer posts and grim monolith.
Any tips for her or how she should approach the matchup?
Thanks
"eggs... why'd it have to be eggs"
feels like all the discussion moved to discord already
Why manage multiple discussion boards? This makes me sad.
"eggs... why'd it have to be eggs"
Hey Julian, come on, the domain is closed ;(
and I just wanted to ask why do you actually play Nissa?
Special Forces Combo Elves
Wife is 2-0 with 2-1 wins over Eldrazi Post and Grixis.
"eggs... why'd it have to be eggs"
Guess no more reasons to play Bayou
How much does the loss of DRS actually hurt?
"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."
"Politicians are like diapers. They should be changed often and for the same reason."
"Governing is too important to be left to people as silly as politicians."
"Politicians were mostly people who'd had too little morals and ethics to stay lawyers."
And Shaman of the Pack could return in the deck for some reach.
