GP Lille 2015 - The Thread

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

Booked my flights and hotel (Hotel ibis Lille Centre Gares) for the upcoming GP in Lille from 3-5 of July. This threads purpose is to get in touch with other Sourcers going there to go out eating, chatting and party. I'm thankful for locals speaking up for suggestions of restaurants, bars, lounges. It's been year since I was there for a semester ;)

    Looking forward!

Team Euroswag and its Canadian subsidiary already confirmed and renting a castle.

Also, make sure to sign up for one of the last slots at the Ambitions 2015 - the most high-stakes Legacy the format has ever seen, the Friday before the GP.
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

Before I zoomed in on the page on my phone, legit thought this thread was titled "Life 2015" like Life.dec was making a comeback. Dammit

How much was your room, and how many are staying? There's a band releasing gig dates soon, and I'm booking my whole year after that.

Lille, Utrecht, Liverpool, London, Hellfest or Download, Every Time I Die, Devin Townsend, and hopefully a PTQ or two in this whole thing. This year is going to be AWESOME. There's also a bunch of cards released with my birthday on them, so I have to get a load of Soulfire Grandmasters and Tasigurs and draw party hats on them.

Let me know when I need to pay my share for the castle. One Summer Mountain should do it, amidoingthisrite.pimp?

    I'm seriously excited.

One of the presents for my birthday last year was a trip to Lille "with a bunch of nerds and a trunk of beer". So yeah, I'm going to take a break from my parental leave and be there.

My predictions for the event: Sneak into Day 2 at 7/2, barely make it into the money and demolish aforementioned trunk of beer with the aforementioned group of nerds! This is going to be awesome.

Will most likely be there, too. Have to find a decent way to get there though.

Guess I have to Conquer this castle for an evening full of hilarity. I'm there from Thursday to Tuesday.

Decent chance I'll make it over across the Pond. If I do, I believe I'll be joining Team Euroswag and the Canadians as the only American in the group Going to be a dream come true as well as I've always wanted to play legacy in Europe <3

    In regards to Legacy:

Probably going with a bunch of friends (who don't play Legacy at all and just want to play it :D (although they have many Legacy cards)). I'm just not sure what to play....

    Greetings,

Prepare yourself. Team Rugstar is coming too. Well, at least a part of the team.
