    Site Update Donation Drive

    Hey all,

It's been over a decade since we've updated the software on the site. It's extremely out of date and insecure. Colo has graciously offered to help out with a full site overhaul, including an upgrade of Linux, PHP, and vBulletin to the most current versions, as well as setting up an SSL certificate so all site traffic is fully secure.

In order to do this, we're going to need to purchase a new license for the most current version of vBulletin. This is a one-time cost of $249. We'll also need a new skin, which will run somewhere between $30-$60. In an effort to always keep the site ad-free, I've been running the site at a personal cost of about $300 per year since 2005. Every once in awhile I ask folks to pitch in if they're able, so that's what this is.

If you're able to pitch in a few bucks, every little bit helps out. As an added bonus, every contributor, regardless of amount, will be added to the Site Contributors list, whose names show up as a cool teal color, so everyone will know how awesome you are.

    You can make donations at:

    PayPal: patrick.maeder2@gmail.com
    or my wife's Venmo*: @jessicamaeder
*we have the same bank account and Venmo won't let me create my own account because of it since they're stupid I guess

Please include your Source screen name as a note so I know to add you to the Site Contributors group. Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for your consideration!

You mean this site isn't dead yet?

I check in from time to time, but like never see any new posts anymore so figured this site was dead. Glad to see you want to keep it going.

I actually found a place at a local card shop that does weekly legacy tournaments that actually had decent turnout. I kind of hope they will go back to doing them when we can do events like that again.

I still visit The Source regularly, so sent a little something your way. Thanks for keeping this place running.

I can't believe you're still keeping this up! Kudos. I no longer own any Legacy cards (don't even begin to get me started on the sobbing) but I sent you some dollars!
