AFAICT there has to be another Aura attached in order for Daybreak Coronet to stay attached. Fortunately there are a lot of 3 cmc Auras that look like natural companions for this card, ranging from kid shit like Armadillo Cloak/Unflinching Courage, to even bigger kid shit like Empyrial Armor. Actually, Invocation of Saint Traft might be kinda cool?
The 4 drops would have to be really hefty to be worth considering I think, and without going down too much of a Gatherer rabbit hole it's hard to find good 4-cost Auras that aren't redundant with Daybreak Coronet. Bear Umbra?
Too bad the card doesn't have ward or hexproof to really make a staunch motherfucker, otherwise it's got that whole "dies to everything" problem. Maybe it'll make an okay Brawl/EDH card.
I'm wrong, the real power play is to hardcast Eldrazi Conscription, then search for and attach Phyresis. Brutal.
Between Spiritdancer and this, Flickering Ward could become an engine.
The removal problem could be handled by going heavy into blue with draw on hit auras like some Modern variants do and then run some blue countermagic suit (which would also help against fast combo). However, what we can learn from the Modern variant is that Ragavan absolutely ruins the deck because he can easily steal your shit and use it against you.
Abundant Growth could also be an enabler/fixing.
Some good synergies but probably not good enough for a deck unless you want to go full arua tribal.

In addition to being an engine, flickering ward turns any cheap aura with flash into a protection spell.
So Tiny or Solid Footing
Oh shit, it's less than or equal to. I missed that on my initial pass! That's pretty cool, idk if Blouses was a real deck ever and if it was it's still probably at its best when TNN is the Aura target since it obviates the removal question, but this also maybe makes some 1-drop Auras way more playable too. IIRC there's a white 1-drop Aura with Totem Armor that might come in handy against destroy attempts, if that's right then it's trivially easy to keep it safe from that kind of effect as long as you have an Aura with Flash in hand. Hmm lol
Lol - dumb and inconsequential rules question - can you cast and attach Weight of Underworld to Light-Paws search up Pattern of Rebirth and attach it to Light-Paws before it dies from the Weight of the Underworld and then search up Emrakul?
but this really sounds like a convoluted mess of auras and now way to actually resolve Light paws, Emperors voice...
its a good card but the deck kis not there yet!
and light paws triggers so state based effects are checkt so it dies... then you search up pattern but its too late

Makes sense - and just having fun with it. If you want to make it work - I think you just do Light-Paws and 7-8 2CMC Auras (that probably give it hexproof/shroud/protection) + Daybreak, and fill the rest of the deck with U/W good stuff. Maybe even a mono white deck like:
4 Light-Paws
4 Mother of Runes
4 Esper Sentinel
4 SFM
4 OPEN
4 STP
4 Benevolent Blessing
4 Lashknife
1 Daybreak Cornet
1 Jitte
1 Batterskull
1 Kaldra Compleat
20 Plains
2 Karakas
2 Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire
I would just go for something that gives haste, and attack.
Haste on Auras is awkward, since Auras and Haste both scream "play this the same turn you resolve the creature" you can't really scale up haste into the 3-4 cmc range without costing the effect out of viability. It may as well not have haste if you had to wait a turn to play the Aura.
In the 2cmc slot Infectious Bloodlust and Goblin War Paint stand out to me. GWP for stats, Bloodlust for putting another Aura in your hand if your creature is killed, so at least you can threaten to reset quickly.
1cmc has a couple of random cute effects. Mark of Fury is... kiiind of an engine? Are there are a bunch of 1cmc Auras to fetch turn after turn that would break Light-Paws? It also sounds hella slow.
Right, but you're getting a free aura, so why not grab a hasty one
It may depend on which turn we're talking here, maybe a late-game Light Paws really wants you to put some fat pants on and then fetch something that grants haste. But early game I feel like you're probably playing Light Paws and then untapping before you get to do anything with it, so haste is gonna be redundant.
Most of the discussion around Light Paws so far was treating it as a companion to Daybreak Coronet, so any Auras I would have looked at were evaluated as the trigger to fetch that. Since you can never cast Daybreak Coronet as the first Aura, it's way better to cheat it in instead of cast it. It kind of feels like a trap though, right? I bet there are some simpler options that let you just play some kind of Voltron control game where LP just gets thiccc with lots of cheap Auras and then your disruption keeps it safe.
Also, though, it's hard to make a case for LP over SFM, so unless there's a truly sick Aura to fetch then this is still just cute kid shit.
If this deck even is any good, which it probably isn't, I still think the superior line is probably to play Invocation of Traft, fetch Daybreak Coronet, punch for 9 in the air, insert usual strawman argument about how playing Blue always means Force in hand, etc.
Pretty interesting design, as it's both an enabler and utility. Not sure if it can find room for any applications, though.Thousand-Faced Shadow

When Thousand-Faced Shadow enters the battlefield from your hand, if it's attacking, create a token that's a copy of another target attacking creature. The token enteres the battlefield tapped and attacking.

Look at the top seven cards of your library. Put any number of nonland permanent cards with total mana value 4 or less from among them onto the battlefield. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
Put two +1/+1 counters on each permanent you control that's a creature or a Vehicle.

All the dragons have been leaked, but this one seems like the most interesting one - feels like there's something silly you can do with it eggs style?

So Jin-Gitaxias on Kamigawa.
Any bets where the rest of the gang will show up?
Also Tezzeret is around.
Not sure if he will get a card since we already have an UB walker.
As a die trigger it is hard to compete with the rectors though. I think the chance of whiffing is worse than forcing yourself to put expensive enchantments/PWs in the deck.
