A two-card combo that doesn't end the game immediately seems implausible in legacy.

Is there any reason to play this over Fatal Push?

    This seems at least playable.

Fairly decent beat stick with trample which fails the bolt test.
Could be playable in modern maybe.

In modern that creature costs 1 and is a Nacatyl. Or it costs 2 and is a 5/5 Kavu.

The days of a 2 CMC French Vanilla 5/3 (at best) are long gone in Modern let alone Legacy. They could print it as an unconditional 5/3 and it still would see zero play. I don't even think it will see play in Pioneer or Explorer.

Threats Undetected seems to be a Commander card.

Doesn't seem too shabby with the Suspend card. With library manipulation, it should be able to generate quite a bit of CA as well. It's no Dreadhorde Arcanist, but it could have potential in the right deck.

Too slow and janky to be worth fake-banding a Dreadnought to it to scry 14 for free cast cmc 14 or less (which should exceed the possible of all but an X cost instant/sorc).

Overcosted new-Johoira which dumps in Scroll and Nought.

Summoning sick, dies to Bolt, and X=14 can't cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. For Dreadnought cheese, worse than Mosswort Bridge.

Emrakul isn't an instant or sorcery. Look at top 14, free-cast instant/sorc cmc 14 or less.

Edit: Ah nvm you saying just Aeon Bridge instead of this; agree.

Yeah. Even if there was a high CMC instant/sorcery worth cheating that isn't dead without the fragile combo (unbanned Dig Through Time? Enter the Infinite?), Aeon Bridge could cast it more easily. And that card probably isn't as good as Emrakul anyway. The only advantage is you get to dig 14 instead of 4, but that comes with more fragile moving pieces (must untap with 3-mana 2/3, must actually cheat out Dreadnought and untap with it).

No, it's IIII. The Romans strongly disfavored subtractive numbering.

Sarpadian Empires has decided the correct notation is IV (see Brassclaw Orcs, Dwarven Catapult, etc).

Why not keep it simple, thow it in a shell with Kiln Fiend type of cards run it with a bunch of pump and power doublers (and some double strike granters for good measure) and call it a day? Not that it would be good in Legacy, but it could make a fun, janky brew.

Rules question: The exiled card can be cast for the rest of the game if I read it right - correct? So you could exile Fling, deal combat damage, then sac it to Fling for the lethal nuke.

The ability that says "you may cast..." needs to be on the stack pretty sure. I imagine it works like Isochron or Shelldock (i.e. not at all against Teferi).

    Temporary Lockdown
    Enchantment
When Temporary Lockdown enters the battlefield, exile each nonland permanent with mana value 2 or less until Temporary Lockdown leaves the battlefield.
This looks like a pretty strong sweeper for sideboards, considering how everything is trimmed towards low mana costs.

    No.
For it to work the way you want it needs to give a duration. Since there isn't one, you have to cast it immediately
