If the issue is being draw-heavy, then maybe the ban threshold should be 2.0 rather than 3.0?
Really though, making us have to beat the lowest-scoring hand (which is actually the hand that wins the most under our rules, mirroring what would be done with standard CB) rather than the highest would solve a lot of problems and is a straight upgrade on both B and C. Also, the last round would have been way better having to beat Arc Blade but still somehow trying to lose.
FTW's proposition is not feasible for me, as I know the decks I have in mind, so it would not be fair.
On the other hand, having to beat one of the two last decks seems great to me (still last two to avoid "the imitation game").
I count FTW, WoP and myself as preferring this; while BoP, Reep and Symbi prefer to have to beat the wastes additionally to one of the top decks.
Let me know if you disagree and the others voice your choice!
Can I retract my vote for C? Apparently I fail at reading.
I’ll be happy with anything.
I prefer having to beat one of the bottom two decks over adding 4x wastes to what we have to beat. I think it will lead to more interesting results, and there's enough bad ways to beat a strategy while being easily disrupted that I don't think the power level will rise too quickly.
That makes it 5-2 for the last two decks, so I will close the poll here, to not delay further the start of the next round.
Legality, one of the following decks should be beaten (WW):
Lava Tubes, Cabal Pit, Word of Command,Word of Command
City of Brass, Dreadship Reef, Aura Flux, Teferi's Imp GT c. 45
Bans, the following cards are now banned:
rhystic cave
Saproling Cluster
Of course none of my former ideas beat either of those, so I'll brew something, PM myself, and start the new round ASAP.
I PM'ed myself a deck, so round 3 is open!
Deadline Tuesday 30th at 19h.

These two cards are truly scary, and can be abused in many different context. The other cards of the three winning decks did not seem so crucial. I hesitated to have a crackdown on filler cards, as valorising 3CB did not seem good, but there are too many of them (4 pacts, crypt, mana vault, final fortune * 3, one with nothing, probably many others).

The OP should be updated with the new target decks. also, what's the deadline?
A bit over 24 h left for R3, and missing Symbi, FTW, Silkster and Asthereal.
Last week I way overthought things. I had a really good idea and even submitted it, and then outthought myself in a dream and misremembered and misread a card. Mine was a Saproling Cluster based deck, which would have scored between the top two this round. Though interestingly that isn't even that big of a difference from where I did score, given how flooded with draws we were. In my effort not to overthink it too much, I'm only looking at the round now.
PS: dte, I like the link to the spreadsheet in your signature.
Just waiting for the round where 2 people conspire to throw the round by submitting Leyline of anticipation Black Lotus Thassa's Oracle Memnite in order to make the next few rounds hilarious
