After seeing the interaction between Power Conduit and The Restoration of Eiganjo/Urza's Saga in a new Modern deck today, I wonder if this new card allows the deck to reach critical mass. Aside from redunancy, the Plains fetching also allows to feed stage 2 of Restoration for more recursion. Keeping Saga around while being able to search for an artifact every turn is definitely nice. So the ideal sequence would be.
T1: Saga
T2: Scholar
T3: third Saga trigger, remove counter in response, grab Plains, grab artifact from Saga, play your Plains, create token with Saga
Rinse and repeat every turn while keep hitting your land drops.
For what it's worth, it can also eat (excess) Vial counters to turn them into Plains.
Thrull Parasite and Hex Parasite have been around for a while.
Soul Diviner has also been around for a while and gives cards instead of Plains, but the new card starts with a counter.
Being able to work with itself is huge, plus the casting cost is way easier.
Another potential line could be on T3:
Recruiter for Scholar, Vial it in @2, the proceed to feed it Vial counters starting at T4 (or T5 while using its own counter on T4 if you want to keep your Vial @3)
How good this is needs to be seen in playtesting since it does nothing on its own the turn it ETBs, but since the deck is already running Vials and Sagas anyway, it might have potential in Yorion D&T where you can actually use the mana. Besides, you can also run Currency Converter as a Saga target to turn the Plains into actual cards if you want to grind some more.
New card:
White Rec Sage that's Karakas bouncable and has a fancy combo with Spirit of the Labyrinth. What's not to love?

Contrasted with Rest in Peace, at least this doesn't get hit by Force of Vigor?
A little utility compared to Meltdown, but higher cost:
"The Ancients teach us that if we can but last, we shall prevail."
—Kaysa, Elder Druid of the Juniper Order
One way to stop yourself from getting Wastelanded:
Also could be funny to fetch a Cloudpost with a Prismatic Vista.
"The Ancients teach us that if we can but last, we shall prevail."
—Kaysa, Elder Druid of the Juniper Order
It also turns off all Blood Moon effects. Useful when there are multiple ones one the field. Price of Progress also does nothing to you with it on the field.
Neat effect, but pretty darn expensive at 4 mana.
That's ok, diviner can pull off lands.
But being UB means you can't curve into it with Urza's Saga.
I wonder if there's any dumb combo with Scouting Trek. And by that I mean something cheaper than Cultivator Colossus.
Edit: There's Treasure Hunt, I guess.
I remember watching a brew that used scouting trek + Clear the land to ramp like 10 years ago.
