Strange, I can't access page 57 either but I see the lists if I reply. Something's wrong with the site.

Edit: Vesuva needing UB was much smarter than Orchard needing U & B. Orchard is satisfied by all the rainbow lands, but Vesuva isn't. I thought Vesuva ETB tapped would be too slow vs TKS & Drake, but the manland does it.

Soltari soldier instead of golddodger would have made the sweep. Instead it is quite a few draws.

You never have to play Citadel or Quagmire. You can do nothing. Then I never get U or B.
If I play Remote Farm to cast my Thrull, you play Vesuva copying it, then you play your 1/1 too. You play no more lands. I can't Regenerate, so we draw.
    DD 2-2
    Disagree

GoblinSmashmaster: Tarnished Citadel, Crazed Goblin, Ancient Tomb, Giant Killer
You must play Citadel, which gives me U & B. I get 1/1 Thrull & 1/1 Hatchling. You get both creatures and can pay the tax. Goblin must attack into my Thrull, then Thrull can regenerate to block 1/2 forever while Hatchling slowly kills you.
    WW 0-6

Wrath of Pie: Shadowblood Ridge, Elvish Spirit Guide, Brain Maggot, Phage the Untouchable
T1 Maggot exiles my Thrull, I never get blue mana. LL 6-0

Tirrit: Peat Bog, Brain Maggot, Sleeper Agent, Wood Elemental
OTD you T2 exile my Thrull, and I never get blue mana
OTP I play T2 Thrull, you play Maggot. I can regenerate so you can't attack me and I could force a draw. If I try to attack, you attack back [19-19]. The same repeats. If I ever attack you down to 2, you attack me to 2 and play Sleeper Agent (killing me on upkeep). Therefore I can never finish attacking you. So I defend and we draw.
    DL 4-1

Silkster: Saprazzan Skerry, Gemstone Mine, Intrepid Hero, Will-o'-the-Wisp
This is interesting because you can give me both colors, but you can also destroy your own lands to deprive me of colors.
OTD you play T2 Hero, I play T2 Hatchling + Thrull. You can play Wisp, Regenerate-block once to stall, then deprive me of black. My Thrull trades with Hero, but Hatchling wins.
If you don't play out lands, Thrull gets there.
    WW 0-6

    12 points (3 loss, 3 draw, 3 win)

    1l1d = 4 points

I should have noticed that waiting until turn 2 to cast Brain Maggot was legal. Instead I didn't and cost myself so many points.

EDIT: tirrit pointed out that casting Brain Maggot was not legal at all! Instead I cost myself all the points.

Re: 4 Card Blind: The Silkster Seasons

I think Wrath of Pie's deck is illegal, because the target deck can trade stormdrake for maggot, choose not to pay the energy so that maggot dies, and then play tks a turn later and still race the drake (5 turn clock vs 7 turn clock that attacks twice before the 5 turn clock attacks is still fast enough). I could be wrong about that, but it reads like it's optional to pay the energy to me. If I'm wrong, then my deck is unnecessarily powerful!

2-2 but I will say that soltari soldier would not have swept because I would have scored 6 points against your deck with a shadow creature.

GoblinSmashmaster: Tarnished Citadel, Crazed Goblin, Ancient Tomb, Giant Killer, comment: Goblin Smash!
4-1 Disagreement. When I'm on the play, you only get to play out the 1/2 before my maggot comes down, and then you can't race me because you've taken 3 (and I also have sleeper agent if you ever go down to 2)

6-0 but I think this deck is illegal

1-4 when I'm on the play I get to take your hero. On the draw we just trade one ones.

FTW: Remote Farm, Exotic Orchard, Dutiful Thrull, Spiketail Hatchling, comment:
1-4 I realize now that I should have played two lands (like saprazzan skerry plus a 1 mana black land of some kind so that I have the same colours as the target deck) instead of the wood elemental, to make myself more vulnerable to vesuva and similar things

Oh good fast Brain Maggot is terrible and illegal! I am still terrible at this format.

(I think that you might have the same issue with Stormdrake unless Sleeper Agent does things somehow.)

Disagree, maggot would have raced the soldier with a 3 damage head up.
But given FTW's deck, it should have been Changeling Outcast for a sweep. Anyway too late now :/

@Wo: damn, and from so close, your deck wins OTP and leave them at 1 life OTD :(

No but your vesuva gets to copy my peat bog so you can animate your manland to block the maggot, right?

I tried playing Vesuva using the eldrazi mana to cast a 3-mana changeling, but any sol land or charge land could empower it, so it was pretty bad. This is a nice find.

I tried really hard to play Chop Down last week, but I couldn't find a way to cast it without also being able to cast Giant Killer.

I lose if Maggot catches the hero, otherwise they trade.
    4-1

Silkster: Saprazzan Skerry, Gemstone Mine, Intrepid Hero, Will-o'-the-Wisp, comment: two blocks
A few hours after submitting, I panicked that I couldn't play both my creatures before TKS gets to take one, but then I remembered that I force the TKS to come out second after landing the hero.

FTW: Remote Farm, Exotic Orchard, Dutiful Thrull, Spiketail Hatchling, comment:
I had none of anyone else's cards in my list, but I had a Spiketail Hatchling deck. It was paired with a deathtoucher, so it was too powerful and I abandoned it. The only sometimes regenerater is nice. I was thinking you could do something like cost more mana to regenerate, but the depletion land probably would have given you one regenerate, which is what you were trying to avoid. I was the one looking for a small number of regeneration activation.
The hatchling flies over while the thrull holds the ground
    6-0

After our recent discussion of land-killing lands, I'm surprised no one played one and not too many people played around one. When I saw that, I wished I had played Volatile Fault with Shivan Gorge and a charge land, but it turns out that it wouldn't have done any better.

It seems that the hero was won the day.
Our next ceiling deck is: Saprazzan Skerry, Gemstone Mine, Intrepid Hero, Will-o'-the-Wisp

    Still banned are:
    Eldrazi Temple
    Dimir Aqueduct
    Thought-Knot Seer
    Volatile Stormdrake.

Yeah that's what the sleeper agent is for:

On the draw I land brain maggot on turn 2. Opp immediately takes maggot and sacrifices it. I cast sleeper agent and attack for "5" (3 from drake plus 2 from sleeper on upkeep). Opp attacks for 3 with sleeper agent and casts tks. I have a 3 turn unblockable clock (5 per turn 15 life), they have 7 damage per turn but I have 17 life so it's also a three turn clock and I'm going first.

I think that it's still a better deck with the unblockable creature that can't block, though, just because our scoring system discourages drawing.

Oh, also FTW's I think. PMs with explanation sent to both.

    FTW's has been fixed.
