I missed that it doesn't change color only until end of turn.
    Then fantastic deck Silkster!

Good news about my very illegal entry is that it's incredibly easy to score.

Oh, that's what you were missing. I knew it was permanent, but I did get scared for a moment that the deck could cast Leyline and Coalition Victory in the same turn, but then Saprazzan Cove is the wrong land to cast that leyline, and Codie can only make rainbow mana once each turn. Then I noticed that Codie stops the casting of Leyline anyway.

I paid attention to the fact that the floor deck had to tap out to cast Codie, so it would always be vulnerable to Gremlin Mine, but I missed that it could just stop the tablet forever. It didn't come up last season, but this is why we drop some lowest scores.

Instant speed activations > 1 land for rhystic cave and I can't attack to steal your other, so you win long before millennium calendar. 6-0

FTW: Sand Silos, Skittering Surveyor, Thoughtlace, Arnjlot's Ascent, comment: Copy Bat?
millennium calendar is just too slow. 6-0

Wrath of Pie: Rhystic Cave, Rhystic Cave, Copper Tablet, Gremlin Mine, comment:
On the play I can prevent you from casting copper tablet, but in order to do so I can't play calendar. On the draw I am too slow with the tapland: 4-1 (but maybe it's 6-0 due to illegalness?)

Reeplcheep: The Peregrine Dynamo, Ancient Tomb, City of Brass, Sungold Barrage, comment: Big Butts
Steel wall's butt is just the right size. 6-0

Silkster: Subterranean Hangar, Deathlace, Inquisition, Junktroller, comment: hopefully unexpected
sweet engine, absurd win con that I had never previously heard of: 10/10. 0-6 since I have no white cards and "never" manages to be slower than even the calendar.

GoblinSmashmaster: Mercadian Bazaar, Goblin Medics, Siege of Towers, Veteran's Voice, comment: No smashing allowed :(
    goblins smash me. 6-0

28/36 or 30/36 or 24/30 depending on how we handle illegal deck scoring.

I think we are trying to lose to inquisition, actually, right? Since Silkster seems to be the winner of this round. This round was the one were we got smashed by goblins!

Yeah, that was the plan. The ceiling that you have to crawl under is mere millimeters off the ground.

I'm slightly concerned that we'll need bans on the backbuild side of things too, but I'm hopeful that people can make somewhat powerful decks here. One problem is that my Inquisition deck with be legal in round 3 by definition, and it's pretty low. Maybe that's not a problem. Who knows?

Ceiling Round means forward build, means you're going for powerful, but somehow you still have to lose to Subterranean Hangar, Deathlace, Inquisition, Junktroller.

Seems unnecessary to ban Strip Mine and Thassa's Oracle, but for consistency's sake, they're banned along with the other 5. The 4 cards in the ceiling deck are also banned.

Just ban Inquisition in Round 3, problem solved (otherwise everyone will be expecting it)

If you ban a card, it should be the junktroller. There are more similar cards to Inquisition.

But maybe we could just systematically ban all cards from the last 2 target decks instead of the last one. Otherwise we would have the question at each round.

I like this option, otherwise the winner from 2 rounds ago will always be a DTB, which may force the next round to look the same. Banning promotes diversity.

I'm good with this. I think it might be more important in the backbuild rounds, though I'm good with banning the 2 most recent decks. For this week, I'm going to leave Codie and his Coalition Victory set-up alone. If I regret it, so be it.

It occurs to me that we've always taken the deck from the previous round that most restricts the next round. So it makes sense that, after this upcoming ceiling round, we use the winning deck as the floor for the following round.

    Wasn't that the plan?

Re: 4 Card Blind: The Silkster Seasons

Maybe. We had been taking the bottom ranked deck as the next target deck, so I had that in mind. I might have said it this way and forgotten, so maybe I'm just redeclaring what is already true.

Also, Black Lotus is not legal in legacy, and Switzerland is not in Africa.
