    -Creatures-

Birds of Paradise: Birds does a good job of getting us off the ground. It's really important for us to cast our spells, and many contain double black.

Black Knight: Perhaps the weakest creature of the lot, but our Curve relishes the 2 drops, and his First Strike plays well with Lightning Bolt.

Order of the Ebon Hand: So much to love, apart from a weakness to Desert or Cuombajj Witches.

Hypnotic Specter: Great value for the cost. An impactful, aerial 3 drop, in our primary color.

Sedge Troll: Holds the ground well, and Attacks just as well. The best creature in the deck, perhaps the format.

Juzam Djinn: Just a 5/5 for 4. It's important to note that Arabian cards open us up to City in a Bottle.

Erhnam Djinn: A bit weaker than Juzam at 4/5, but an additional strong 4 drop.

Sengir Vampire: The 4/4 Flying represents a solid creature to top-end our Curve.

    -Spells-

Lightning Bolt: Premier, top of the line spell in red. It does everything for us. Slowing our opponent down, Speeding us up, or Removing an important threat.

Chain Lightning: Much worse than Lightning Bolt, but I've been thrilled to have the 2 copies.

Chaos Orb: The unmistakable artifact removal piece of Old-school

    -Pointed Cards-

Demonic Tutor Demonic Tutor allows us to tutor up our powerful accelerants and threats. I enjoy this card, it's fun to make choices.

Black Lotus Black Lotus is often our preferred target off of Demonic Tutor. Lotus allows us to be explosive.

Mox Ruby Essential, for it's ability to cast Bolt or Chain Lightning after Demonic Tutor.

Mox Jet Better than the Ruby, which should speak to its value. Jet provides double black turn 1 for Order and Black Knight.

    -Sideboard Cards-

Red Elemental Blast Very important interaction vs Blue

    Tsunami Decks with many Islands

    Flashfires Decks with many Plains

    Gloom Oppressive vs White

Falling Star Broken removal, for opponents with many small creatures

    -Summary-

This list strikes a fearsome balance of power and consistency. It's playing a lethal combination of strong threats and cheap interaction. Not only can the deck apply pressure, but it can also sustain it. For how fast the deck jumps out of the gates, it's remarkable how it can sustain that pressure.
