    Re: Titan Post

    I've been wondering if this archetype can afford to splash blue for Sol Ring.

    It pays for Elvish Reclaimer, Candelabra, Map, Stage, Saga, Eye of Ugin. It could Craft The One Ring, which removes the downside (lifeloss) and more than doubles the upside (draw an insane # of cards).

    But blue mana may be hard to get consistently.

    I think I recall playing a blue/green build back in the day. I certainly don’t recall what the splash was for now however. That said, if possible I prefer getting a mono colour deck down first. I feel like the splash has to make it better or at least fill holes.

    I’m not sure what you mean by the banned legacy card Sol Ring, and it being blue…

    In any case, I’m still looking to play the same list in about 8 hours. I’m on the fence on how many endurance to play, how much graveyard hate I actually need, etc so I’m trying to stick to my gut for now. Hopefully I’ll have more insight post tournament.

    I'm talking about the new spoiled blue card The Enigma Jewel, a "fixed" Sol Ring that costs U and can only be used on activated abilities. For a colorless mana-hungry deck like Post, it could be a good fit. But it needs U.

    For your current build I'd play 3 Endurance main and maybe a 4th SB. It's strong against Delver, Grief scam, Reanimator, Uro... many of the top decks. It ambushes attacking Bowmasters (which I guess you don't care about most of the time) and other small things, so it's not just GY hate. Maybe you can even ambush an attacking Magus of the Moon!

    For Jewel to work, it would probably want:
    4 Reclaimer
    4 Map
    4 "Sol Ring"
    0 Crop Rot
    4 One Ring
    4 Saga
    1 Candelabra
    1 Blast Zone
    1 Eye of Ugin
    2-3 Stage
    2-3 GSZ

    I don't know how viable that looks for Post or if that could support UG well

    I feel like if I’m going blue I’d just commit at that point. I could get better mana rocks and displacer cat and probably ignore the “land” part of cloudpost.

    I do want more endurance still. I’m certain I want 3 main regardless.

    Re: Titan Post

    Well I managed to get mana screwed a lot…

    Beat hammer time. Mana screwed out of cheerios. Mana screwed against 8cast. Mulliganed into oblivion against storm.

    So the bad part is the sideboard was good, but I would get screwed out of the game. I for sure want 3 endurance main. I while the scarab storm was a house against cheerios, it should probably be another mindbreak trap or even a crypt. The deck felt good every matchup in spite of the mana/mulligan issues I was having. I also think I could loose the saga package for maybe more gsz targets even though some of those 1 ofs can be critical. I do wish I kept an ouphe available.

    It was an experience to play this again, not sure what I’ll pull out for the next one.

    Hmm to avoid manascrew you may want:
    - More green sources
    - Less demand for early green mana (Exploration, Veil)
    - More colorless tech
    - Cut Crop Rotation (-1 land hurts a deck trying to accumulate many lands in play) and play more Expedition Map and Golos (colorless land tutors)

    Maybe something like this:
    //Lands: 26
    4 Cloudpost
    4 Glimmerpost
    3 Thespian's Stage
    2 Vesuva
    2 Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth
    2 Boseiju, Who Endures
    5 Forest
    1 The World Tree
    1 Dark Depths
    1 Karakas
    1 Eye of Ugin

    //Tutors: 19
    4 Elvish Reclaimer
    4 Expedition Map
    4 Once Upon a Time
    4 Golos, Tireless Pilgrim
    3 Green Sun's Zenith

    //Interaction: 10
    3 Pithing Needle
    3 Endurance
    4 The One Ring

    //Silver Bullets: 5
    1 Outland Liberator
    1 Ramunap Excavator
    1 Primeval Titan
    1 Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
    1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

    //Sideboard: 15
    3 Force of Vigor
    3 Mindbreak Trap
    2 Warping Wail
    2 Run Afoul
    1 Bojuka Bog
    1 Glacial Chasm
    1 The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
    1 Collector Ouphe
    1 Argentum Masticore

    Re: Titan Post

    To clarify, I said mana screw, not colour screw. I literally was not drawing lands while having half of my deck as lands.

    I do want to go back to more maps. I tried to toolbox a little with saga, but it’s unnecessary. As good as some of those cards were, just getting the lands you need is better. I did have one solemn simulacrum in my main originally, but that was starting to feel like win more.
