Cost is $15. Start time is 1pm. Prizes will include 4 Dual lands, 4 Force of Wills, a Beta/Alpha Dual land (Volcanic Island if we get 50 players), and store credit.
The regular monthly at the Den. Black bordered Volcanic if there's 50+ people, and we had 49 last time. There was also credit for 5-8 last time, and I'm guessing there will be this time too if there is a large turnout.
I unfortunately will be in Seattle during this one, so bah humbug.
Scrub out? I went 4-2, missed T8 by a round. Thats not scrubbing out....
I want to go so bad... but I have to work that day.... maybe I'll be sick
yeah yeah... your the only person i lost to that day....
Let the shit talk commence; ICBE is making another Top 4. I predict around 2 ICBE members in the Top 4's this month.
ICBE - We're totally the coolest Anti-Thesis ever.

Let's not make promises we can't keep. Although I think that I've got Alex convinced to play Threshold, so odds are that someone will make t8 with our Thresh build. Assuming we don't get paired against Stax and Survival...
Oh wait...
I might show up if I have a deck by then.
I might go to this. Though it will be the first time ive played in a tourney for over a year and I think I might need to borrow some cards/playskill.
High score..what does that mean? Did I break the game?

Right, I guess you've never tested it. I don't own the deck, but the guy who does wins tournaments with it. He has let me play the deck a bit, and I have never been color screwed. With Brainstorm, Mental Note, and Ponder you shouldn't have a problem getting a second colored drop.
Yeah, that would be me who Mental is referring to. This isn't really the place to have this discussion, but I have been playing UGR Thresh with only 14 color sources for quite a while and I think I've been mana screwed because of it once. In like.... 200 games or something really really large. The deck is much more aggro than most builds of thresh and really takes advantage of the stifle / wasteland package as well as mental note and all sorts of stuff that at first looks like absolute jank because in the controlling versions of thresh CB is just so much better. But when I can out race goyf sligh (no joke, done it quite a few times) all of a sudden keeping people off balance for 1-4 turns with stifle and wasteland starts to seem really strong. I'll probably write up a HUGE post in the UGR thresh thread in a few weeks once I get the chance to play the deck at one more tournament so that I have some more positive results to show, but don't knock it until you try it at least.
