Also, have you ever tried Fauna Shaman on Survival of the Fittest's slot? I know its the suboptimal version but I would imagine being an 2/2 elf would synergize with the deck.
I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums
