I'm actually kind of surprised they didn't do those or the manlands. Prices on manabases in Modern can get pretty ridiculous and the return to Zendikar was the prime time to do the Zendikar fetches. I guess it'll probably wait until next spring's large set.
Manlands might still be possible. He did say they're "brand new designs" which indicates no allied manlands but it could mean enemy manlands (which would be new cards and therefore new designs) and allied something else.
