Against D&T it's best to tutor together creatureremoval, and try to diversify this removal.
Playing against D&T is a bit like paper-scissor-rock, they have an answer against all our cards, but we also have an answer to theirs too.
Mother of Runes protecting against a single colored source of damage,
Barbarian Ring killing Mom through colorless damage,
Revoker (or Magus) locking out BRing (or Vortex),
Punishing Fire killing Revoker,
Prelate stopping Loam and Pfire,
and Vortex and Bring killing Prelate.
I feel like we're slightly favored game1, because we have better tutors to shape our paper-scissor-rock game.
But whoever holds scissors against paper (to stay in the metaphor) in the opening hands, has a jumpstart over the opponent.
For me, game 2 and 3 are worse, because our local players pack Surgical extractions besides RIPs in their boards too (because of BR Reanimator I suppose).
Board in Kgrips and possible creatureremoval like Sweepers, Drop ...
I usually side out Karakas/Bog and some Quarters/Ports, as thei're quite resilient to manadenial.
I side out Chasm too, because the local abundance of gravehate prevents it from being effective enough to turn around games.
Against Moon-effects and especially Magus, you can consider running Molten Vortexes in the main.
EDIT: you can kill an active Mom with Pfire by targeting it EOT opp's turn (he taps to protect it), and recur and cast again in your turn.
Volcanic Fallout - punishes him severely if he goes wide, wipes out pretty much everything they can throw at you, gets rid of Prelate. You can use Kozilek's return if you wish to go around Mom
Fling - no more all-present Sword when you summon token, no outs for them
Torpor Orb - no tutor from Stoneforge, no Revoker on Stage or Mox, no Flickerwisp against Marit
Nissa, Vital Force - excellent as another win con against grave hate, strong beatstick on +1, ultimate just one turn after you'll play her.
Krosan Grip - always bring those against RiP and Vials
Needle - against enemy wasteland, but you need to be carefull with timing not to damage yourself (wasteland into their Karakas and Ports)
Tracker - really strong threat for them, outgrowing anything they have really quickly, bite for a Sword hold for Marit.
Molten Vortex - always excellent, you can kill pretty much anything with ease, get rid of Prelate on 2 etc.
Little OT but: Because right now, I don't have the time to meet friends often to test my deck. I thought it's a good idea to train a little in MTGO. But wtf happened to the prices? It seens a lot of cards went crazy the last few months or at least last year. Exploration is the most expensive legacy card (only Black Lotus is more expensive). Soon followed by Mox Diamond. DD is expensive too. They were all under 10$ once. Just Wasteland is an alltime high.
So, are so many online players playing Lands now or what's happening?
I think Wizards hates Lands players... They should 'reprint' those high ones soon!
It's been years since any of those cards were near $10. The deck is more popular than ever and the only really significant decrease in price came with promo ports so I'm not sure why you would expect it to be cheap to buy into.
Iconic masters could easily help though, it already has canopy revealed so grove is a real possibility and I could see depths, wasteland, or rishadan port being reprinted too.
So I'm having a bit of a dilemma. I have experience with Depths decks and Loam decks, but not much with Lands in particular. I've played in 5 local events and am somehow undefeated. I'm guessing that's more a testament to the deck's strength than my ability, though I think my experience with "similar" decks has definitely helped. Despite my success, I feel totally clueless when it comes to sideboarding with this deck. I mostly have no idea what to take out, aside from obvious choices like Karakas and other utility lands that do nothing in certain matchups. I would absolutely love some help with how to side against the usual Legacy suspects.
This is my current s/b:
1 Ancient Tomb
1 Trinisphere
1 Thorn of Amethyst
4 Sphere of Resistance
1 Zuran Orb
1 Drop of Honey
2 Tireless Tracker
2 Krosan Grip
1 Ancient Grudge
1 Bojuka Bog
I'm running the standard RG list with 4 Ghost Quarter, 0 Port, 1 Vortex and 1 Manabond. General sideboard plan against the top decks would be great, but my meta is Stoneblade, D&T, Sneak & Show, Delver variants, Burn, Storm, Reanimator.
Thanks so much! I really want to become a solid pilot, and obviously sideboarding is of extreme importance.
Getting to play some Lands for the first time since I moved in almost a month, going to run out Burning Lands

Your sideboard contains groups of cards. If you see why they're in the board it's more easy to understand when to board them in.
Drop and Tracker are non-graveyard-reliant alternatives for cards like loam and creature-removal.
Board in these cards against all creature-based decks, because they will board in gravehate.
And drop is nice against TNN.
KGrip is the best card against artifact/enchantment-based hate (Bloodmoon, Back to Basics, RiP, ...).
But it's also useful against decks like Stoneblade or D&T that rely on maindecked artifacts anyway.
Ancient Grudge is the best answer against a random needle, as you can reliably gamble for it.
Trini, thorn and sphere are especially your sidecards against bad matchups, usually combodecks.
Especially useful against Storm, less reliabe against S&T or Reanimator.
You can also run spheres in games on the draw against tempodecks (delver, infect).
Ancient Tomb against any matchup where you board in spheres as well.
It will power out spheres faster, and usually the decks you want to slow down are the decks you want to have fast wins against.
(Tomb can make you combo on 3 lands).
Bog is specific for gravereliant decks, and Zuran Orb against decks running lots of burn (Burn, UR Delver).
Boarding is subjective, so I'm quite sure others would board slightly different.
Stoneblade and D&T:
Board in 2 Tracker, 1 Drops, 2 KGrip, 1 Grudge.
Board out 1 Karakas (I suppose you have it main), 1 Manabond, 1 Chasm (personal choice, I can image others leaving it in),
possibly 1 Depths, 2 Quarters. Against fair matchups, boarding out a gamble is fine too.
Delver:
Board in 1 Drop, possibly 1 Grudge (needle sucks), for Karakas, a Maze (was best against goyfs) or a Gamble.
I think Trackers are a tad slow in this matchup, but I can image others boarding them in.
On the draw you could board in spheres and Tomb as well.
Against UR Delver, keep Chasm in and board in Orb too.
Storm:
Board in your combohate: Trinisphere, Thorn, Sphere, Tomb, and also Bog for Past in Flames.
(I don't really like Trinisphere as I think it's too slow for these fast combodecks).
I've had Telemin's Performance played against me, so now I board in 1 Tracker too.
Board out creatureremoval as Pfire, Vortex, Maze, Chasm, some loams.
Gamble is a great card in unfavorable postboard games, as the unfavorability of the matchup makes gambling worth it.
Reanimator:
Board in your combohate: Thorn, Sphere, Tomb, and Bog.
Board out creatureremoval as Pfire, Vortex, some loams
I keep Mazes and Chasm in against BR Reanimator because they often don't cheat Grisel but Chancellor into play.
But I feel like UB Reanimator is too good at cantripping into Grizelbrand, into Tidespout, to rely on mazes.
S&T:
Like Storm, board in your combohate: Thorn, Sphere, Tomb.
Board in the KGrips as well for Bloodmoon, Sneakattack or Omniscience.
Board out creatureremoval as Pfire, Vortex, some loams, mazes and chasm.
I would board tracker in against combo, there are so many useless cards to side out in those mu and tracker could be a nice finisher and a alternate drawing engine to help us finding more hate.
Team Blood, Beijing.
Currently play: Sneaky Show/ Lands
Went 2-1-1 with "Burning Lands" last night. Drew with D+T, won the mirror 2-0, lost in 2 close games to OmniShow, Delver opponent scooped when they saw what I was playing.
The Wish was great at helping me find a silver bullet for g1 -- Hull Breach was awesome to grab and it helped me get a Loam I needed against D+T.
I am planning on running this 75 at Eternal Weekend

I was thinking about Burning Wish in Lands the other day and glad to hear that you are getting some results! Were you happy with 3 Wish and 3 Gamble? I would be inclined to play 2 Wish and 4 Gamble but there are certainly advantages to both. Your wish board is pretty shallow so there seems like a real risk of drawing too many Wishes. I could also see starting with 4 Loam main and boarding out a Loam to put Wish(es) in after board to play around the graveyard hate.
I played in a monthly tournament last day.

Turn 1 UR Delver (WON 2-1)
G1 I kept a fast hand with T3 combo, nothing my opponent could handle
G2 I concede after a T3 Bloodmoon (ofc i forgot to side in K-grip)
G3 He mull to 5 and keep with 1 vulcanic who got wasted. He conceded with no lands in board after 5 turns
Turn 2 AnT (LOSS 1-2)
G1 he combo off at T2, nothing i could do
G2 My combo was fastern
G3 Copy and paste of G1
Turn 3 Eldrazi (WON 2-0)
G1 My opponent start with Eye of ugin and Mimic, I open with forest exploration and wasteland and attack the eye. His next turn my opponet played another eye with and endless one x=2 and start to aggro me, after some dredge i found 3 mazes to lock down his eldrazi and take time to create the big fat token.
G2 He was super fast with mimic and an endless one 4/4 turn 2, fortunatly i found a glacial chasm who permit me to bild a chasm lock + drop of honey who delete his board. Then i was able to wastelock
Turn 4 4c Delver (WON 2-1)
G1 Fast combo and go to G2
G2 I kept an horrible hand, idk why, died by Delver and gurmag with 3 mox diamond in hand and no lands
G3 I had every answer to his 2 DRS but no wasteland to slow his board, my opponent was able to flip his delver and start to punch me very hard, fortunatly he never four a TNN and after a very long game i was able to create a wastelock and rotate for a tabernacle.
Turn 5 AnT (LOSS 0-2)
This was the game to join top 8, and ofc storm, i was a bye for him
G1 He combo off T2
G2 He combo off T3
Sad defeat
Turn 6 UR Delver (LOSS 1-2)
G1 He burn me fast but he missplayed with the crucial PoP to response my combo (Some turn before i copied a forest with my stage)
G2 Just a duble PoP and 2 flipped delver destroyed me
G3 Copy of G2
In last game i was so tilted to lose the top 8 by Ant, but this is the game and i ve to test a lot this MU
Blood moon PSA: A rules change is coming with iconic masters so that blood moon and magus of the moon now prevent counters from being placed on lands as they come into play. This means you can now play a depths into blood moon, not put any ice counters on it, and then destroy the moon for a token.
https://magic.wizards.com/en/article...tes-2017-09-11If a nonbasic land has an ability that applies "as [this land] enters the battlefield" or that causes it to enter the battlefield tapped or with counters, the land will lose that ability before it applies. This is a change from previous rules.
Wow, thats a big rule change. Seems like a beneficial change for us. Grip your blood moon (tapping forest, mox diamond, and dark depths) with your Second moon effect on the stack?
Playable with the new blood moon ruling?
