What hotel are you planning on getting the discount from, and out of curiosity what was the discount like last time and was it for a limited number of rooms?

Thanks for your help(what he is refering to is my request for people who are selling Legacy-type prizes that I could obtain directly from the community instead of having to go through ebay...if you know someone...shoot me a pm) and hope you can make it. A Legacy event is just not the same without you.

I had someone in mind, but I honestly forgot to talk to him at the prerelease last weekend. I'll see if I can catch him on AIM and discuss. Also, I'm touched.

The Ramada Inn in Stratford, CT. The discount was $69/room/night down from about $110. There were about 10 rooms, but they increased to a few more than that when they filled up.

Turns out that the date for this event is the best possible, right after finals. I'm certainly going to be attending and I'll ask around here at RIT to see if anyone else is interested in attending. The point system seems pretty amazing, I was wondering if there's any chance in summing up the points you get in both days. That way if you finish around 5-8th both days then you can still get some high end cards. I would understand if you didn't want to do this because it would probably be difficult to implement.

Question:
Could a person save their points from day one and see if they win more points day two, and combine their points from the two days and get even better prizes than they would each day separately? Like if you got 2nd place day one and 3rd/4th place day two, you could then combine your points to get the same prize as if you had gotten 1st one of the days. does that work?

It's not like this would happen to me, but the answer might be relevant for some people.

Sure can. This is totally allowed. I will keep good records. The one thing that can't be done though is carrying points for TML OPEN 2 until TML OPEN 3.

Changing the date may prove difficult as there are extended ptq's every week surrounding the 3rd.

While playmats are interesting I would hate for the prize structure to slip and reduce turnout. The prize structure is the biggest draw and the high level of competition that it implies.

I definitely think better prize structure > playmats. And I'll agree with Nightmare than on one cares about 2HG. No one who matters anyway. Well, at least no one who matters and would skip this to play it.

Its clear you put a ton of work into the prize support. Thank you for not taking the easy way out and just offering up 4 Resets for 1st, 4 Sea Drakes for 2nd, 4 FoWs for 3rd etc.

It looks to be the best price structure I've ever seen and would love to see more stores adopting it.

Debating whether to burn time off for 1 day or 2 (if I do both I have to burn 3 shifts worth since I normally work 8AM to midnight on Saturday....)
