Hi there guys. While I was brewing my Premodern Doomsday Control deck I was toying around with the card Predict and had a crazy idea which leans back in the vein of a Doomsday combo deck: Phyrexian Devourer / Fling combo. Find and cast your Doomsday with either a Predict in your hand or a Lion's Eye Diamond. You'll want to stack your pile differently depending on which one you have. You might have all three: Doomsday, Predict, and LED in the same hand and just go off with the right situations.
Note: This might be better than the current Doomsday combo decks such as featuring Future Sight and/or Sutured Ghoul.
I've been getting this to go off fairly early. It feels like this goes off by turn 3 fairly consistently and can go off earlier often. I haven't tested it enough yet to tell.
Here's how you want to stack your pile. If you have a Predict in your hand you want, from top to bottom, Phyrexian Devourer followed by, either in any order, Altar of Dementia and Animate Dead and then any other cards on the bottom. Cast Predict, crack your LED, and your Predict will mill the Devourer into the yard and then you draw Animate Dead and Altar of Dementia. Cast both off of the LED and another mana source and you win by sacking Devourer to the Altar after you've made him huge. Obviously the pile changes if you don't have an LED in play or a Predict in hand. If you have one but not the other you put them in your pile and go off the next turn.
I was running Fling only with no Altar but every once in a while I'd crack my LED to cast both Animate and Fling and didn't have the right color. So you'll have to run both main deck. If your going up against Oath of Druids with Gaea's Blessing you'll need Fling.
I'm calling this Golden Grahams after all the Vintage combo decks named by cereal but only because Doomsday Devourer sounded stupid. You can call it whatever you want. Either way give me credit.
Also, note that Predict doesn't just help the combo go off it has synergy with Lim-Dul's Vault.
There is no sb yet but maybe you guys can help me with that. Also the mana base could use some help but so far it's not too bad.

So actually I'm getting turn 4 wins most often FYI. Is it better than the Future Sight build?

Am I missing something though? If your Library is empty (or nearly empty) after casting Doomsday, how does Devourer get bigger?

OK, for a moment I thought maybe there was some sort of weird interaction that I didn't understand. It's an interesting idea, but I think the Control route might be the better way to go. Unless there is some other combo that could work with Digger.

The Digger route is a tough one too. The mana base is just awful. If it weren't so punishing I think it could work, but because Doomsday takes half of your life total you can't use cards like City of Brass. I can get it almost there and just before I get a lock I usually die to Goblins or Hippies. I'm gonna still work on it though.
