Yeah, the old methodology just didn't really work any more, unfortunately.
I tried to keep up, but between the data being too ragged and the accelerated pace of decks changing, I couldn't really do it. I, for instance, spent numerous hours trying to craft a White Initiative thread when that was putting up results, but haven't not played the deck myself I was honestly struggling. Then it ended up being banned anyway.
While I agree that Discord is largely useless for decklist discussions, people still gravitate toward it. I was trying to drum up some posts for Premodern here, which sort of worked a bit, but certainly slow going. It doesn't help that, myself, personally, haven't really been playing anything lately. Just a fact of being old, having 7 kids including a 2-year old and various other life stuff.
That being said, if anyone has ideas on ways to make a new sort of DtB section, a way to make new threads for new decks, or anything, I will still try to keep beating this drum here until it is physically impossible.

Thanks for attempting to keep this active!
Would it be easier to use the metagame share data from mtggoldfish? (Last 30 days or Last 90 days)
https://www.mtggoldfish.com/metagame/legacy#paper
Take decks above some threshold as current DTB. If a primer doesn't exist for a new deck, just link/copy the list from mtggoldfish.
You could use mtgtop8 instead to include paper results, but the data on there seems less consistently updated and may be too ragged depending on your criteria.
Curious players could at least quickly access the latest winning decklist even when there is no discussion or history. In other cases there would be old threads with the full history and development behind the deck. This could save you a lot of time processing data and keeping up with changes. It might also invite more discussion if the DTB stays active.
Current top decks:
UB Tempo
Vroomsday
UR Delver - thread exists
BR Reanimator - thread exists
UW Riddler
Sneak Show - thread exists
URtifacts / Welder Cam
Vroomsday can use the old Doomsday thread
UR Welder Cam is an evolution of Mono U Artifacts (should have a thread already)
UW Riddler is arguably an evolution of UW Dreadnought. You're on Stifle+Wasteland+Daze mana denial. Riddler's the new 1U draw engine and finisher to combo out. Or you could start a new thread.
Well, the DtB section was intended to show basically the top 8 decks or so by share of top 8 finishes.
While the meta share is a thing, it's not really the same thing. I guess in theory we could just say that the top 8 decks by meta-share are the top 8 decks though?

Is there time to make a DtB for The Fantasticar before it shows up in the B/R thread?
Vroomsday and TES are both very competitive right now.
Car is the #1 deck on MtgTop8 over "Last 2 months" (11% of top 8s), and it hasn't even been in print those full 2 months.
