So with a quarter left of my senior year it's time for me to start yet another new art project for my painting class. I really couldn't think of anything to paint until I remembered an assignment from last years senior class, "Painting an unusual object." Now card boxes aren't too unusual, but ehhh.. at least it's different than a canvas. So I've decided to paint 5 boxes, each one representing a tribe of each color.
My first instinct was to paint famous tribes, for example:
Elves-Green
Goblins-Red
Merfolk-Blue
Soldiers/Clerics-White
Zombies-Black
But I think I rather paint my favorite tribes. Unfortunately, I can't decide which tribes are my favorites. I was thinking something like...
Elves-Green (cuz.. well, I play Elves)
Pirates-Blue (never played with em, but I love pirates)
?-Red
?-White
?-Black
So finally I decided to paint The Source's favorite Tribes. So if you guys will list your 5 favorite tribes, each one representing a different color, that'd be great.
Oh and try to list tribes that represent a definite color. A creature type like Beast could be recognized as green or red.

*And for anyone who cares... I won't be ripping off any of the original artwork. Each box will probably display the Magic The Gathering logo, a manipulated color symbol, and original drawings of whatever tribe I'm picturing. However, I'll probably take ideas from famous and easily recognizable cards like, Llanowar Elves.

I'm a sucker for angels in White...I mean, Serra Avenger? Exalted Angel?
Blue...Merfolk! Man, I love those guys.
Black...zombies? I'm not as sold on those.
Green....Elves is the easy choice. But...Troll Ascetic...sigh.
Red...Goblins? Like Elves, the easy choice...Dwarves? Dragons?

Green- Shaman, there are few really good ones.
Red- Ape/Gorilla could be good I guess.
White-There are a good number of hounds, and there's always samurai.
Black-Horrors could be totally awesome.
Blue-Homarids.

Red - Dwarves (fuckin WOTC needs to finally print some decent dwarves)
Blue- Merfolk (be nice to see them in T2 again)
White - religious fanatics (of which white & white-based gold has had a few)
Black - clerics! (cuz the evil clerics are awesome & halfway to being zombies anyway)
Green - Druids (or hermits...stickin with the crazy, angry, hairy guy theme)

Lol of course.. Minotaurs, Unicorns, and Homarids are the only creatures worth painting! Seriously though, what's your true favorite tribes? I'm just trying to get a little poll going.

When I'm done with the boxes I'll be sure to scan them, so everyone can enjoy. If anyone is seriously interested in buying them (I don't normally sell my art :S) you can discuss it with me when after they're finished.

Black - Skeleton (wtf, why isn't Lich a creature type? Lich is a Lich, not a friggin' Zombie-boy) and maybe Vampires

Then general props to Efreeti and Djinni.
If you do a pretty sweet job and post images, I'd likely be interested in purchasing one or two of them. Especially if you use my suggestions :D. Red, Green, and Black would be the most likely candidates for my interest.

I haven't given it much thought in other colors, but Rats are my favorite typical Black creature type. Wizards needs to make more utility rats.
