^_^ Dwarves sounds really neat, and I expected Merfolk to be one of the leading tribes :P. Vampires and Zombies both will be really wicked to draw, so keep it coming guys...Interesting to know that Griffins are the favored white tribe O.o.
Oh and please be specific as to what color you want the tribe to represent. If I'm not mistaken Lhurgoyfs don't heavily favor one color.
White:

Red:
Goblins. They've gone from one of the worst creatures to one of the best creatures without ever changing their fundamental belief that manpower and ammunition are fully interchangeable.
Green:
Bears. Killing someone with hordes of bears is satisfying. Doing it while holding your nose and saying "But Yogi! The Ranger's not gonna like this!" is even moreso. Niall-Silvains come in a close second for being an anagram of "Slain Villain."
Blue:
Instants. Oh, that's not a creature type? Hmm. I still pick Instants.
Black:
Skeletons. Too bad they never print any decent ones.

It's worth noting that if Wizards hadn't been gimpy and had printed the Soratami as Rabbits (like Orochi are Snakes and Loxodon are Elephants and every other furry fantasy come to Magical life is it's animal type... except Viashino for some reason...), I would totally have listed Rabbits as my favorite Blue creature type. Plus, Meloku would be a Legendary Rabbit Wizard. I'm sure we can all see what's awesome about that.

The problem with Rabbits being a creature type is that every time someone lost to Meloku, we'd have to endure them doing some sort of god awful Elmer Fudd impression. I'd prefer it if my kill conditions were not referred to as "Wascawwy Wabbits."

I'm pretty sold on the Merfolks so I've already started the box. They really don't have any competition. I'd also prefer to do Elves for green, as I actually have an elf deck. Plus, I'm not sure bears would make for much of a drawing. You guys seem pretty undecided when it comes to black, and what's with Griffins for white? I thought for sure I'd end up doing Angels/Soldiers/or Clerics, but The Source has spoken and they want Griffins... Keep voting if you haven't already.

I had said Shaman earlier for green, as it has a fair bit of potential. And I'll say it again, Horror for black has so much awesome visual possibilities.

I'm sorry, I just updated the list above and added shaman as a x1, and Yes, shamans do sound neat to draw. Although, if you look at most of the Green shamans alot of them are elves aswell, so I guess we're kinda on the same page. Druids were also recommended, and those too are often elves as well. So I'm kinda leaning more towards elves over bears, since we do have 3x Elves, 2x Druids, 1x Shaman.
I so agree with Horrors too. They sound like a really wicked idea. Everything is pretty even with black right now anyway; there really isn't a favored creature type. Hopefully things straighten out with black, and may the best creature types win.
Well then, the only thing to do is add another entry to the black race - Dwarves! Nothing better than a bitter, frustrated, evil dwarf lashing back at the world (think Balthor the Defiled, but with volition).

Red: Goblins Simply because they are more playable than dwarves if WoTC would make more playable dwarves i would definitely recant this statement.
Black: Mercenary, because i started playing magic back in urza block and when masques came out i went wild for mercenaries and they did pretty well in my local T2 tournys.
