    TML Open 3 - Stratford, CT. - Nov 3, 4 2007

What: TMLOpen 3(The Mana Leak Open 3)

When: Saturday AND Sunday, November 3-4, 2007

Where: Gamingetc Tournament Center and SuperStore
    555 Lordship Boulevard (Exit 30 off I95)
    Stratford CT 06615
    1-203-296-9961

    Lodgings: Ramada Inn in Stratford
    225 Lordship Boulevard
    Stratford, Ct 06615
    203-375-8866

    INFORMATION FOR BOTH DAYS:

    Time: Registration: 10:00 - 11:00 am
Tourney Starts PROMPTLY at 11:00 am(To avoid a prolonged tournament, this will be strictly enforced. Latecomers will be subject to a round 1 loss.)

    Cost: $25 Entry Fee

    Format: Legacy

DCI Sanctioned?: Yes, both days will be DCI Sanctioned.

    Cut: Cut to top 8

Dopeness Factor: 200 times the probability that A wins the sixth game if:
A and B play a game repeatedly. In each game players toss a fair coin alternately. The first to get a head wins. A starts in the first game, thereafter the loser starts the next game.

Prizes: I will still be having a “based on participants prize scale. As for what the prizes are, well, that is the biggest dilemma. I certainly want to offer the best possible prizes I can, as well as give an even better selection of prizes than last time. The problem is, I am certainly not a store(though the event will be held in one) and so I don’t have a boatload of excess Legacy staples. Therefore, I have come up with the following.

1.) Where you finish in the event will earn you a certain number of points.
2.) You may then, “cash in those points” for your choice of prizes from a “prize bank”.
3.) For example, if you have 200 points, and in my “prize bank” the only things you are interested in are Resets which I have at 25 points and Lorwyn boosters at 4 points each, then you may claim a prize of 25 boosters and 4 resets, or 8 Resets or 50 boosters, etc.
4.) In the time leading up to this event I plan on trying to fill my “prize bank” with as many power cards, dual lands, Resets, Sea Drakes, Force of Wills, Booster Packs, etc. as I can get my hands on. I will update as time goes on to indicate what I currently have.
5.) Technically, I WILL MAKE SURE YOU GET ANY PRIZE YOU WANT. If I don’t have enough of the card in my prize bank the day of the event, I will try to get it during the weekend. If I can't get it, the store might have it. If neither is possible, I will buy it on Ebay and have it sent right to you. To make the point clear, YOU PICK YOUR PRIZES AND YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU WANT.
7.) If you would like to suggest something be sought after and had in the prize bank, so that it is there for the event, please do so. I will go after the most common requests that I don’t already have.
8.) To give you an idea of all the possibilities, some examples are suggested below.
    9.) Any questions, please ask.

JUST SOME OF WHAT I CURRENTLY HAVE IN THE PRIZE BANK:
A stores inventory worth of type 2 boosters(4 points each)

Ill be there in force (yes just me). This time ill actually be playing a decent deck(the first one i played a bad Uw deck and the second one i played a bad UWB fish deck, didnt realy know much about Legacy back then). And this time ill actually be able to play both days.

Could we get 120+ people to this so i can get multiple power for placing first.

    Stratford, Connecticut?

    *Looks up on Mapquest*

2 hour, 45 minute drive seems very doable. There is a damn good chance that my brother and I will be making this, bringing somewhere between 0 and 3 people with us.

Fuck. By this time I officially won't be able to leave NY state under any circumstance. And right when we had a great tournament get posted. Sigh. Go get 'em for me, Epic.

At least I guess I get to look forward to the other 5 large Legacy events coming up in the area. God I love New York.

Are you prepared for the insanity that is David Gearhart's Trivia Abilities? Also, hopefully I'll win some magic whatever things. Man, I'm so coming for the Trivia, that shit is awesome.
For the foreseeable future, expect to see less of me. I've lost my internet connection, and so I'll only be able to get on by siphoning free Wi-Fi from the surrounding areas. Which isn't always consistent.

Plus, the guy that I used to leech off of has now instituted password protection. This means that I effectively do not have internet at home. :(

Deep6er, Mad Zur, and I will take the Team Trivia Crown a second Mana Leak Open in a row. David will answer 55% of the questions, Jesse 40%, and I'll make do on the 2 or 3 questions they don't know. Time to brush up on UN-set Flavor text.

Feel free to get cocky...but as I recall you only beat us by 1 point last time... Ray's tournaments are amazing in both prize scope & friendliness, everyone in a 400 mile radius (except those dumbasses penally restricted to their current state...) should come up...everyone else should fly in.....

With the exception of the recent Fud's tournament in NOVA TML Open is my favorite non wizard sponsored event. I think I can make this one. The prize structure is so good I cannot help but be there. Maybe this time we will not get drained by those 2hg tournaments.
