Not really, CB+top protects from swords & and other cheap spotremoval.
So the opponent cant handle a Faerie, and its a 7-10 round clock. Not so bad.

I am going to have to agree with nightmare here. Three mana is a large investment for a 2/1 especially since this deck does not run standstills. I'd rather play the three mana for an vedalken shackles or an threads of disloyalty. Since both of those utility cards can potentially make an impact in the current game state while making a 2/1 flyer does nothing.

    1. I don't remember wombat being a problem.

    2. How can a deck not be able to beat the mirror? Does that make sense to you? Who wins? In the case of landstill it is probable to just run out of time, but usually the slight difference in skill level of the two pilots decides it.

On another note, I'm extremely sure this deck would scoop to a single extirpate. Factories would be helpful in replacing the useless basic lands in your list.

Just cut the Humility. You'll miss it in the Survival matchup, and that's it. Every other deck has very few ways to deal with Moat (a couple of fliers, or a playset of Deeds and SGC) so it's perfectly viable to just sit back and protect the single enchantment that doesn't stop your win conditions and makes you invulnerable.

I personally think this deck needs another threat that is a flyer. I would suggest to add the explosives to the main and since your not running wraths now I would go with tombstalker as well. Also just like what nihil said moat can be good enough in most cases. Maybe you could try going with Disrupting Shoal instead of counterspell in your wishboard considering Shoal can be casted for free at times.

WTF? Why a slow combo deck? Isn't that kind of counter productive. All you need is intuition, 3 brainstorm, 3 tops, 3 helm of awakening and a large amount of counters and draw spells. No creatures, except for maybe...maybe in the sideboard. Mono-blue is the way to go on this.

Has anyone thought of maybe adding gaddock teeg to a CB deck? Just a thought, they seem like they'd work together if the deck was comprised mostly of 1-3cc spells... and then moat or something to hose aggro.

Well, perhaps in a counter-top deck that isn't control. Basically, it might fit in a deck that is definitely nothing like this deck.

All this deck tries to do, is resolve Counter-Top, then a 4-mana bomb.

I still hope you work on smoothing out your curve like Nightmare suggested, I'd like to see a nice new list again.

One last thing. I'm not sure whether this has been brought up or not, but I don't think it has been. IF you were to design your deck to not use Cunning wish, a few good things could potentially happen. You 'could' bring Enlightened Tutor as a 1-2 of maindeck, which finds a lot of tools in your deck as it is now. And with just Decree as your win-condition, I agree that Vedalken Shackles could come in handy (though it would appear that planeswalkers seem too good in non-Landstill control to not play).

    galeng:

    1. Well, it is. Play against it more with Landstill, that MU is hell.

    2. Well, you have more information and more flexibility in the mirror. Cunning Wish is amazing.

    3. Factories are trashier than Basic Lands. Basic Lands get around Blood Moon, which is amazing.

    4. Nobody plays Extirpate Game 1. They'll side it in and I'll side in my other win conditions like Haunting Echoes.

    @Nightmare:

Impulse was amazing. I really liked it in testing. Found land, CB pieces, and more random stuff. It could be Lim-Dul's Vault or Diabolic Visions ironically as well, since we dont really mind tapping out.

Moat might be a 2-of and Humility as a singleton. Too amazing to ignore.

@Fliers: I'm going to try Tombstalker. It dodges Deeds and it comes out cheap so I can protect it.

@C-Cleric: I have a new list. I'm editing my post right now, so it's up.

I like your new list it looks freaking awesome at least in my opinion. It seems to remind me alot of zvi's UW landstill which I had a blast playing. I think finding room for at least one slaughtering pact seems pretty techy to me especially with all of the goyfs running around. As well as no meddling mages and no engineered plagues in the board makes me a sad. Other then that though it looks like a blast to play.

It was inspired by it, actually. I might put Enlighten Tutor back in, but at the same time, I'll feel bad if I do; Cunning Wish wins me more games than Enlighten Tutor ironically.

Hydroblast/BEB is better than E-Plague. Dragon Stompy is rough. As for MM, I was never really a fan.
