    Running GAGG for the illiterate

At Running GAGG, I tried my new phone camera out for the second time ever. It turns out it doesn't like bright light, so some of them look like fail. Ah well.

The pictures are also on Flickr. Click on the "All Sizes" button to see full size.

    Round 2

    Deep6er is high on MossNought.

    Phil Stolze is friendly.

    What 70 cards looks like.

Bryant [Wastedlife] combos into two Spirit Guides vs sligh...

    ... and wins.

    Intrepid reporter Rich [on1y0ne].

The rest of the room. Rock Band is hooked up to the giant projection screen.

    Round 3 row one

    Round 3 row two

Eli [T-Organizer] may not play any basics, but he has the answer to Magus.

I also tried video for the first time ever.
“It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.

The top 8 begins. Ob Freely leaned back as the picture was taken, so he doesn't get to be in it.

Clockwise from Ob: NickRIT2000, Whit3Ghost, Rsaunder, Di, T-Organizer, Zork, wastedlife.

Zork vs storm combo, part 1.

The room fills as the top 8 progresses.

    Table-level view of T8.

    Pokemon vs Zork

    Zork vs combo, part 2.

Hardest fought match of the T8, Eli vs Alix [Obfuscate Freely].

Ob Freely brings out the trail mix.

    What game 1 looked like.

    What game 2 looked like.

Game 3, Eli extends the hand.

No Jander would agree with me here. Our hat is kickass. No one got the shot of me flexing after my top8 victory!

So grow a set and come to one. I know you've been playing in the Hadley tournaments, so I know you've got access to cards. And you and I both know full well that it's well worth the two hour drive.

If not for the tournament, then at least the post-tournament festivities. Everyone knows that's more important and fun that the tournament itself.

Indeed it is. Too bad P_R gets a twist in his panties as soon as you mention 'cuse because of the long drive. I have the cards again and now have a new car so perhaps me and Norm can make a showing at an upcoming tournament. I just fucking hate paying a $25 entry fee for a tournament if it isn't for power but fuck it I suppose.

You pay $25 bucks to hang out with awesome people all day. That's a sound investment, in my eyes.

One of these weekends, we need to just skip the tournament and have like a BBQ in someone's back yard or something.
