Although I like seeing the constructive development of decks (and members should be helping in a constructive way), I don't like seeing the "pecking party" posts (Px3). Posts like "Hey, this is the same deck as this deck don't help much, and I'm afriad will lead to flaming and hard feelings.
In short, have some faith in the judges. We'll probably be able to notice if a deck is relatively new or not.
So as you can see, we are getting plenty of entries. Some are creative, some are viable, and some are not close to either goals. Well, that's what happens when you have a contest - you get entries of varying quality. I have no problem with looking at Generic.dec and IHave100%GameAgainstEverything.dec. I think that the judges can spot creativity of some level and viability of sorts.
What I do have an issue with is the micro-judging from members. I want to keep the contest friendly, and I fear that some posts are getting snarky. That's right. I said "snarky."
Not to be rude, but the judges may be able to spot a White Weenie deck when we see one.
And some posts are getting just plain redundant:
Good God. The original list has Chrome Mox in it!
So, keep it nice. And let the judges do their job. Make your entry stronger; don't make others' weaker.
