The idea is certainly an interesting one, but I can't help but think there's a better way to build this. It seems like there's a lot of untapped potential here.

This is an interesting deck, but a couple of questions...

    (1) Does Myojin of Seeing Winds really warrant inclusion? I haven't had a chance to test it yet, but it seems like you are only going to go for it if you are beginning to fizzle or if you randomly drew into it. It will probably net you 4 cards to keep going, but since you really aren't using the storm count for anything useful, I just wonder if it is worth it...

    (2) Why doesn't this deck play Sundering Titan? With a mana base that would remain entirely unscathed and a strategy to ramp up, you could devastate most opponents and early. With the only real win being the attack phase, wouldn't crippling the opponent be a good thing?

Sundering Titan looks really neat. I've gotta wonder if it's better than Red Myojin, as that one stays in play and really beats in. The green Myojin is also potentially neat with the 3cc blue draw creatures.

    Another consideration is Coiling Oracle.

What is better? The deck created by me or that on Starcity?

Reminds me a lot of Darwins Revenge, but without the downside of saying "I'm playing Food Chain Elves."

The idea is definitely interesting, but the mana base here seems horrible: Ichorid-style, except you actually want to cast spells with it for more than one mana. You only have eight ways to cast Ponder, and actually casting a Food Chain is something like a 3-card combo: (5C-land or Pact/ESG) + (2-land) + Food Chain. Mulldrifter, Hussar, and Familiar are even harder.

Basically, I think adding a few more 5C lands or something would be warranted.
SummenSaugen: well, I use Chaos Orb, Animate Artifact, and Dance of Many to make the table we're playing on my chaos orb token
SummenSaugen: then I flip it over and crush my opponent

This looks like it was straight copypastad out of the New and Developmental forum 3 months ago or something. The deck seemed interesting then, but not all that good, same as it remains now.

It's been bouncing around in my mind for awhile and I've found that a lot of readers like to have new deck ideas presented in articles. Well, new ideas that are not just "I added X to Landstill"... One of the compelling reasons to talk about it was how wide open the deckbuilding process was and how I'm still at a loss for where to go with it, or if I should go anywhere with it. The deck needs more lands, more draw (intuition seems good there), more oomph in general.

I appreciate the idea of an article about an entirely new deck, youre right that articles about adding/taking cards from other decks isnt really new either. The main problem I had was that this article seemed to pretend this was an original idea, which it isnt. Anyways, I think the deck is just too weak, you really just lose if Food Chain doesnt stick, and even if it does you wont always win with what you have...it just doesnt seem better than other options.

I'm sorry if it came off as me aping it as original, that was NOT my intent and I apologize to people who thought I came up with it. I'm not that clever by far.
