    My Top 8 Predictions:

    1 Vial Goblins
    2 Threshold Variants
    1 Painter's Combo
    1 TES
    1 The Rock Variant
    1 Survival
    1 Landstill

I would love to see Fetchland Tendrils actually do something, but I would be disappointed if I actually expected that. Since TES is the best combo deck, I would have to put that as my favorite when it comes for a combo deck making the top 8. I still prefer my version of Iggy Pop, but no one will play that deck.

I think its kinda funny how a lot of people are not expecting Goblins to do well anymore. I still think its one of the best if not the best deck in Legacy.

I expect to do crappy myself, predicting the 1-3 drop. :)

See you guys at the event.

I thought we decided that your version of IGGy Pop was fetchland tendrils....

And Goblins lost it's #1 slot when they printed Goyf, if not before. Now there is no way that it is the best.

Which is why you'll be going to time in the round. Every round. You're officially the slowest magic player alive. 30 seconds per top activation adds up.

Edit: Oh wait that card blows so no one would really play it right? The whole doomsday FT deck is a joke right? right? guys? ...

For srsly guys. Disregard anything you've ever heard about a Doomsday deck. In fact, I'd highly recommend forgetting everything related to playing against a pseudo-thresh combo deck. They don't exist. This has all been an illusion provided by your friendly neighborhood security agency.

Bryant, what does FT or Goblins or Tarmogoyf have to do with top activations and me playing slowly? If you're gonna make fun of me at least have it make sense.

Two Canadians heading down for this. We fully expect to take up 1/2 of the top 4 slots again.

I didn't say anything about Fetchland Tendrils, What I said was, "Which is why you'll be going to time in the round. Every round. You're officially the slowest magic player alive. 30 seconds per top activation adds up." Meaning, that you're playing top because of Tarmogoyf.

Re: 07/19/08 $1000 cash prize Legacy Play the Game

Actually, the only decks that I have played in the past 2 years that don't have top in them are Burn and Survival. I put top in Wombat when I played it for a couple of weeks, and I also have it in any kind of black based board control deck that I play, except for landstill. So yeah, Tarmogoyf doesn't even have any bearing on whether or not I play top. And for the record, when we played it was my first and second times playing the deck. And against Big Brian, it was my first time playing against Ichorid, and he was also taking his time. I did not go to time in the round at all this past tournament, except against Di, and I think he would agree that was not because of me playing slowly, just that it was a very long game 1.

I'm not sure why Pre-Registration was ended, but when I called to Pre-register myself and four others today I was told I couldn't. That $25 in savings would have put a sizeable dent in the $80 projected gas costs it's going to take for us to get there from Connecticut. I guess we can bring bagged lunches instead of eating out
