Wow, kick ass attendance. We got any idea who ended up traveling the farthest? Anybody from West Coast or EU show up?

Wow. That's a huge number. A lot more than I expected, actually. That's totally awesome.

    So, pairings for round 1?

Relax, even if they post the pairings for round 1 six hours from now they'll still be faster than WOTC....zing!

I should probably link the thread I made to discuss the 5 Year Tourney and the 5 Year Anniversary of the Source in general.

    Oh, and no.

We could do an anniversary tourney every year, I suppose. Wouldn't be as big as this one, though, definitely. And the annviersary might not always land on a good date. But maybe we'll just do it the nearest Saturday or something. I dunno.

Wouldn't really be up to me, though.

Re: [HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT] mtgTheSource.com's 5 Year Anniversary Tourney!!!

OK, so I'm reporting from the event.

Guy who traveled farthest: Mayk (technically from the Netherlands)

I'm out at 1-3. I only played tribal decks. All four matches. Beatings. Merfolk, Goblins, Slivers, Goblins. No lie, I thought about playing Plague before today too. :(

Still looking at about 100 people. Not too many drops with prizes going to sixteen.

We had a large room in the beginning, but after four rounds, he had to move down to a room that was a quarter the size. Beatings. Also the vendor didn't show up.

Anyway, there will be more to come from me.

Keep on watching. I'll report every round and in between rounds for interesting things.

EDIT: If somebody gets pissed about me double posting, deal with it.
For the foreseeable future, expect to see less of me. I've lost my internet connection, and so I'll only be able to get on by siphoning free Wi-Fi from the surrounding areas. Which isn't always consistent.

Plus, the guy that I used to leech off of has now instituted password protection. This means that I effectively do not have internet at home. :(

By the way, Dave just gave us a digital high five through the feed. It was the single greatest moment of my entire day.

I aim to please. Just ask for more, and I'll be happy to oblige.

Also, Team America is totally 4-0 going into game 2 against White Ghost and he's up game one.

    Updates

Ben Lukas (Force of Will) 5-0 with Dreadstill

Rodney Hannigan (Roodmistah) 5-0 with Dreadstill

Phil Stolze! (Legacyplayer0) 3-2 with Rocking Blue (I now have less respect for Phil Stolze)

Nick DiTizio playing Dreadstill 3-2 with Dreadstill

There was one guy playing Slivers who I know of. He did not do so well, and I can't find anybody else playing Slivers.

    Any other questions?
