I'm guessing Landfall has effected it's desirability, but are casual players that interested? It is selling for around $15+ each on ebay. 2-3 weeks ago you could pick up a set for less than $15. And apparently in France, it's going for even more.
Soylent Green is people.
You guys can thank me later.
Thank you. It seems that Americans pay attention to birthdays. You are the second who realizes it's today.
God bless Americans.
Did Goyf spike in price recently? It's back up to $60 at StarCityGames. Is it because of the Legacy events in 2010? Is he good in Extended? I feel like he was down to around $35 for a while.
InfoNinjas
yes you're right, this summer he was just 35 at starcity, after zendikar prices are going nuts for some wierd reason... just use baneslayer as a meter
It had been down, yeah. But Legacy is getting bigger and Extended is starting to come back into focus. The price was only temporarily lowered as T2 players were unloading theirs when Alara was rotating in, but that's a year ago now.
For my confessions, they burned me with fire/
And found I was for endurance made
Holy fuck... That's what I get for thinking I could slack off on getting Tarmogoyfs and wait for a price drop. I mean they ARE gonna drop when it rotates out of Extended presumably, right???
Bless your heart, we must consider Blue/White Tempo's strategy and win percentages in an entirely different deck thread. -4eak
I feel really good for getting my goyfs at under 30 each.
by 5 dollars? when extended rotates out- if you want to wait that long that is. =D
I definitely think Goyf is an anomaly to the norm. I hope he gets reprinted over and over and over again, because I think that's the only way he's going to go down at all. I'm with DDK, I had been waiting until they went down, but now I'm not so sure. Silly me thought $30 was crazy, and now this.
I remember back in the day Undiscovered Paradise was a $15 card, and then it fell off the map, and now it's back. I don't think too many cards get new life that often, but it has been kind of a trend lately, hasn't it? Grindstone, Natural Order, Dark Depths, etc. all used to be mediocre and now have double digit prices. I just can't get my head around the fact that Cursed Scroll is a $6.00 card, Masticore $5 and Morphling about $9.00. I'm stuck in the year 2000 when those cards were bombs.
When did Tarmogoyf get so expensive? I feel like I just checked prices on magiccards.info quite recently and it was around $35 or so. Insanity.
Word. My teammate and I got 3 sets for 5 bucks each. Really sucks to be you unbelievers and skeptics.
It was even more satisfying beating hectics I knew at a tournament. Goyf had had some exposure to being good, and I thrashed the hell out of this Landstill deck piloted by a skeptic thanks to Goyfs. I mean, fucking thrash. We even had a point in the game where I had one Goyf as a blocker against an army of Monasteries.
ICBE - We're totally the coolest Anti-Thesis ever.
"The Citrus-God just had a Citrus-Supernova... in your mouth."
They're never going to reprint goyf... i don't know how many people have to say this before people stop saying it but they've already said that goyf was a mistake.. personally i hate goyf, thats why i play everything non-goyf: landstill, tendrils, and solidarity- my anti-goyf
And I thought I was mad when I should have gotten them for dirt cheap way back when and I got them for $30 instead. Kind of makes me feel better now.
