It is definitely the nicest alter/sig I've ever seen on a collectors item though. I agree that altering or signing rarities is pretty silly, but that sol ring looks damn good.

The alteration on the Sol Ring would look so much better on a black border Sol Ring. If this summer collector is willing to have that done I wonder what other alterations have been made. I have yet to see something which tops JACO's hypercrimped (the crimp is about a half an inch up the card, it must have been sticking out of the pack its so bad) altered by Garfield Berserk though.

The actually owner is Ron, at least until the requester receives the mail with the card inside.

Ownership of a card confers certain privileges, like being able to decide what to do with it.

Once he uploads the photo onto the internet in a public area anyone can link the image elsewhere.

Ron Spencer did it himself. I'm pretty sure he takes commissions, but they aren't cheap. He has a WordPress blog that probably has commission information.

I will never understand why Mark Tedin portrayed this Juzam posing with a Mona Lisa smile. A cheerful Juzam on a Summer card doesn't seem striking as the old fashioned grinning Juzam Djinn we're used to who is about to devour that poor Arabian Night guy.

About that Summer Juzam Sol Ring, all-in-all, whether you like it or not, the owner of that card has got some balls. You never know how an alter turns out, and this one turned out pretty ok. So hats off to him.
