Painter's Servant / All game zones

Painter's Servant changes the color of every card in every gaming zone.

Now, my friend argues that you can use a card, for example Pyroblast (The destroy blue permanent ability) to destroy a creature on the battlefield.

The card specifically mentions that cards on the battlefield is not affected, so I don't believe him.

    Please help

Your friend is correct. Painters can turn all cards blue therefore allowing him to pyroblast anything on your board.

"All cards that aren't on the battlefield, spells, and permanents are the chosen color in addition to their other colors."

It says "all cards that aren't on the battlefield" because it later includes "permanents", which is all cards on the battlefield.
“It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.

Re: Painter's Servant / All game zones

    For reference: painter's servant
It affects everything on the battlefield (permanents), all spells (stack), and everything that's not on the battlefield (everything else). I can't think of any cases where a card wouldn't be affected. Also, you might want to check out any of the decklists that use painter's servant since they rely heavily on the interaction in question.

Edit: Ok, it doesn't work on sideboards, cards from games that you aren't playing in, or - in general - cards that are outside the game.

Grabbing a mono-red card from your sideboard with Glittering Wish when Painter's Servant is set on blue?

    That won't work:

400.10b Some effects bring cards into a game from outside of it. Those cards remain in the game until it ends.

400.10c Cards outside the game can’t be affected by spells or abilities, except for characteristic-defining abilities printed on them (see rule 604.3) and spells and abilities that allow those cards to be brought into the game.

Exactly my point. A case where a card would not be affected.

It would probably be a good idea to be a little more clear about what you mean, next time.
