Extended season coming soon, that's all there is too that. Don't expect them to get below $10-12 after rotation though since they are so damn useful all over the place. As far as Volcanics in Vintage I don't play Vintage but all the lists I am familiar with only ran 1-2 Volcanics including that Jace deck that came in 1st and 2nd at Worlds. Not a format I stay on the cutting edge of though, just way too broken for me.

Don't disrespect my dojo dude...
Sweep the leg!
As someone that does play Type 1, I can say that aside from a few corner cases the decks that play Volcanic Island only play 1-2 outside of Control Slaver or U/R Fish, both of which do not see much play anymore. The reasoning for this as could be inferred from results is that red is generally only currently good for Red Elemental Blasts and Artifact removal which green can do as good if not a better job of with Nature's Claim and Trygon Predator.
The only real reasoning anyone would have for running more than 2 Volcanic Islands is if they were running Goblin Welders , but this has not been the case for some time since black is currently the better splash color (Dark Confidant, Thoughtseize, Broken cards), and the mana base generally can't handle it. Take for instance, a pretty stock Jace Control list with Trygon Predators and look at the manabase you play when you are only running 15 lands.
4 Misty Rainforest
1 Polluted Delta
3 Underground Sea
2 Tropical Island
1 Volcanic Island
1 Island
1 Snow Covered Island
1 Forest
1 Tolarian Academy
A manabase such as this is considered to be pretty stock and allows you to run 2-3 Red Blasts out of your sideboard to give you the edge in the Blue Mirror while still allowing you to run Green and Black as your primary splash colors. Any more than 2 Volcanic Islands is just plain unnecessary right now because of Fetches and the lack of maindeck worthy red cards in blue decks right now.
Did you notice Vesuva hit almost 7$ right now? with foil ones raising up to 20$ ? Is 8posts + Vesuva really SO strong?
Are you into Jazz? Have a look at the Lp's I have for sale on Discogs!
Good EDH card that also has widespread casual implications.. See also: Doubling Season
Team Albany: What's Legacy?
You cannot know the sweetness of Victory, without first dwelling in the agony of Defeat.
Glad I picked a foil one up for $7 for my Karn EDH (that proves it's an EDH card lol). It's so sick with Scorched Ruins, Lotus Vale, and Mishra's Workshop
Of the decks listed that are actually played (not U/R Fish), they should never play more than 2 Volcanic Island for the reasons I already mentioned. Red's the weakest played splash color and you don't want to open yourself up more than necessary to Wastelands. When your best reason for running Volcanic Island is Red Elemental Blast as a 2 or 3 of in the Sideboard or 1-2 Ancient Grudge, you don't really want anymore than 2 Volcanic Islands.
Just for the record, you can buy a fuckload of Time Spirals in Europe for 15$ at Ex and NM condition.
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
Jace TMS is up to 100 on both Star City and Channel Fireball. They were buying Jaces for 70 at the KC Open Series. With WW sold out, will there be any end to the madness? Does anyone think it will drop much when it rotates out of Standard or Extended?
On a brighter side, table top arena still has a couple for $90 a pop.
Still holding on to my 4 Eng. foils, but am willing to let em go for 800. lol
i got each foil one for 100, btw.
Damn, I only managed to get one foil one before the price went nuts. I hate spending that much on a card. Least the one I did get was only acquired through trade of crappy stuff (EDH rares pile).
It's gonna suck trying to get those eventually. I do want three more. I keep foils of Legacy cards I like a lot. No clue when's a good time to get them. Seems never-ending in his rise to lofty heights.
I'm sold out of Moats at $500, you know. Therefore, Moats are now $500. Look, I've got Moats back in stock, at the new low price of $400! Aren't I giving you a good deal?
Please, please, please please stop using the phrase "X store is sold out at Y dollars." It literally means nothing. I know what you're saying, but it's just not accurate, like my statement above.
Jace is creeping again, but not at 100. MOTL seems to have people buying/selling him at ~75-80, but I suspect he's creeping on 80 or a little more. He's a great card, don't get me wrong, but if you can wait, he'll go down once he rotates (ugh, in a while still, but you see my point).

On the same note, I pulled the trigger on 4x Candelabras at 45-50 last night after the game, stores are now selling them at much higher prices and most are out of stock. It has the same rarity as Moat (but played in multiples) so god forbid and good luck to those still planning to acquire them.
Just because there was one Top 8? I'm sure it will go up because this seems to be the new way of Legacy, but I don't think it should.

One of the problems with Magic cards, particularly older ones, is that their prices are rather "sticky" in that once they go up they tend to stay there for awhile even if the card is no longer being played heavily. If Jace's price drops I suspect it will happen very slowly. The card has sort of reached an iconic status, similar to that of the power 9 etc. People will always want to own one.
It will be like every other flash in the pan card. It'll be back down to normal value in a week or two. Other than this potential high-tide deck, what value does it have outside of casual?
