secondly, pimpness is essentially related to value - it might be hard for people to deal with, but the reason people value jap foil is fundamentally not because it looks pretty but because everyone else values it and this pushes up the value, thus making these cards more valuable and therefore more pimp

I want to see Slinga's crimped Beta Seas/Vaults and miscuts FoWs. He used to have a link somewhere in his sig. I totally gasped at the oddities he posted. Occam (I think his name) also has a bunch of collections that are insane, but Slinga's the one going for the oddball misprints in MTG, which makes it very interesting to watch his decks (post one up slinga!)

Couldn't be since it had the Mercadian Masques pictures in it and Pyroblast wasn't in that set. I hate the Ice Age pictures, that's the only reason I remember that misprint so well is it was of my favorite pictures of the cards too.

the miscut i mean was out of ice age. that simply means that he owns both which is not too hard to imagine. ;)
ice age got counterspell as well which made me think you refer to the card i mean.

i've got other duresses - 7th foil eng and saga duress - but for me as a collector i always go for variety, it's an issue when i post a 'pimp' deck because it's always random and peps complain :( but i like the variety in my collection and i ain't changing :)
