[Casual] Making Use Of Puresteel Paladin

Well, I spent about 3 hours writing an in-depth post about the creation of this deck, and as I clicked through tabs I accidentally closed out of the forum post. Go figure. So for now I'll just post the decklist and explain the card choices. This is meant for a casual legacy environment, and the whole point is simply to base a deck around Puresteel Paladin.

    Puresteel Sword

    3 Etched Champion
    3 Kor Duelist
    2 Leonin Shikari
    2 Mirran Crusader
    4 Puresteel Paladin
    4 Stoneforge Mystic
    3 Student of Warfare
    Creatures [21]
    1 Batterskull
    2 Chrome Mox
    2 Dispatch
    1 Lightning Greaves
    4 Mox Opal
2 Sword of Feast and Famine
2 Sword of Fire and Ice
1 Sword of War and Peace
    4 Swords to Plowshares
    3 Umezawa's Jitte
    Spells [22]
    4 Ancient Den
    4 Ancient Tomb
    2 Darksteel Citadel
    7 Plains
    Lands [17]

    4 Disenchant
    1 Bonehoard
    4 Indomitable Archangel
    1 Mirran Crusader
    4 Solitary Confinement
1 Sword of Light and Shadow
    Sideboard [15]

Puresteel Paladin - Basis of the deck.
Stoneforge Mystic - Keeps hand full, makes equipment uncounterable, cheaper, and instant speed. Also can pick up equipment.
Etched Champion - Helps curve, solid body, metalcraft.
Kor Duelist - Almost all of the equipment benefits from double strike. Swing for lethal on turn three with Jitte if curved out correctly.
Leonin Shikari - Combat tricks. Body.
Mirran Crusader - See Duelist. Little more protection.
Student of Warfare - See Duelist. Good funnel for Feast mana, good one drop as well.
Batterskull - Lots of card advantage off Puresteel with recursion, as well as a 4/4 lifelink stopping aggro decks in their tracks.
Chrome Mox - Metal craft, curves out well, Puresteel/Stoneforge/Fire and Ice keep hand full.
Mox Opal - Similar to Chrome Mox.
Feast and Famine - Mana/Card Advantage.
War and Peace - Damage and life gain to counteract Ancient Tomb and speed up the clock.
Fire and Ice - Small creature removal and keeps hand full.
Plowshares - Spot removal, need to hit opponent to get sword triggers.
Dispatch - Effectively Plowshares number 5 and 6.
Lightning Greaves - Haste speeds up the clock. With Shikari and Stoneforge allows for a lot of removal countering.
    Jitte - Versatile beyond belief.

Abolish - Spot Removal. Might swap for Disenchant.
    Bonehoard - Graveyard hate.
Indomitable Archangel - Protects artifacts and has evasion as well as being a solid beater. Might try and main deck.
Mirran Crusader - For black removal-heavy match up.
Solitary Confinement - Burn, Aggro, and combo match ups.
Light and Shadow - For B/W match up with heavy removal.

Sorry if this post is short, I really did have a very well written one but am quite aggravated at how easily it disappeared.

Thoughts? This would make a great 'overextended' list, but for now it will have to settle for Legacy casual. It looks a bit like Angel Stompy. I plan to go test it and see how it does this week.

Re: [Casual] Making Use Of Puresteel Paladin

I'm finding that the Chrome Mox are digging a bit too deep into my initial hand and with Force of Will/Daze/any other early counter, as well as any artifact removal causing a 2-for-1, that Chrome Mox is a bit defective. I've decided to drop 2 Chrome Mox for 2 Mox Opal. To support Mox Opal I've pulled two plains out for two Darksteel Citadel, and in response to that I have replaced Abolish with Disenchant in the board.

    -2 Chrome Mox
    +2 Mox Opal
    -2 Plains
    +2 Darksteel Citadel

    -4 Abolish
    +4 Disenchant
