I cast cryptic command choosing to bounce a creature and draw a card, the target of the bounce is precursor golem. Precursor Golem copies the spell two times, each of which must bounce a golem. But, on the other two copies of the spell, can I choose different functions other than the cantrip or does precursor golem copy the spell exactly as originally cast?
“It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.”

Can they get to re-select modes for the copies - like, could the player choose to tap all creatures or counter a spell with one of the copies?

You cannot know the sweetness of Victory, without first dwelling in the agony of Defeat.
You can't change modes.

But Precursor Golem's text specifically says targets ONLY a single Golem. so if you used any other modes on the spell ( like tap all creature's target player controls or even counter target spell...theoretically you're choosing ANOTHER target, hence why the Searing Blaze doesn't deal 9 damage to an opponent with a golem). Please correct me if I'm wrong on this one.
