Alternate art Time Walk and Force of Will- Vintage and Legacy Champs

The new oversized art for the Champs for Vintage and Legacy was previewed on the mothership today... and it looks beautiful. Both of them actually look like they were painted and not digitally crafted, which I think is fitting considering the age and importance of both cards.

The Force of Will looks absolutely incredible. I think that if they ever decided to reprint it in some fashion that they use that art. You still have the juxtaposition of colors and the picture itself harkens back somewhat to the original.

    What do y'all think?

I like time walk but I absolutely loath Force of Will. It looks like a bastard from counterbalance/missdirection. yuck

That Time Walk is absolutely gorgeous, especially at that size and resolution. A piece of new, shiny art I genuinely adore. Force looks very nice as well. You're right swoop, the new art does look like it drew inspiration from Counterbalance.

Now we know that whenever UFOs are spotted, its just someone time walking.
I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums

Does this up the chance they are going to make a promo or some other reprint of FoW? It seems inevitable at this point. Judge foil Dark Confidant seems pretty clearly intended to keep the price reasonable on a legacy staple. Although it is also important for Modern, which FoW is not.

I love the FOW art, although I agree that it resembles Counterbalance. I'm not a fan of the new Time Walk. Makes me think of the Syfy channel. I've always had a soft spot for the odd and surreal, so I'll take the original.

    neither are particularly impressive imho

recently, i've felt mtg art has really declined - maybe it's because they have some much product coming out

Honestly I found both a little underwhelming but then again I havent really been a fan of much of the new art power.
