"I'm willing to imagine a TES where Past in Flames replaces Ill-Gotten Gains entirely, and we just don't play Diminishing Returns." - me, 29/09/2011

Yes, that makes sense for Xantid Swarm.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I think Past in Flames should be run alongside IGG. I think IGG is too important to not play especially against aggro decks. Past in Flames seems more like a lategame card against blue and discard rather than an alaternative wincon vs aggro decks. That's why I think Past in Flames should replace DR because it's function is to negate the oppoent's hand disruption and to win without using life. I think Past in Flames does this. It also doesn't require Orim's Chant nor does it refill their hand.
Don't you think paying for Daze with Lotus Petal is bad? I think I would rather the Daze resolve.. Then again, letting Daze do anything isn't very good. I just don't think this deck should lose to Daze. hmm..
Probability is the expected long run outcome distribution of some event in the sample space. This means if you perform the experiment infinitely, the limit as you approach infinity of the proportion of successes over the total number of trials approaches some number, hopefully the number Bryant has posted. If we hold the percentages that Bryant has in the primer to be true, then the reason people do not personally experience these percentages is because anything can happen over finite trials, aka the short run.
It's like the lottery, just because you net positive on your third ticket doesn't mean you don't go bankrupt if you keep playing. It is simply bad beats.
So where exactly do I fail to understand probability?
Matt Bevenour in real life
TES just had back to back turn one kills on camera at SCG Indianapolis, can't wait for that feature match to get added to the primer :)
Ad Nauseum should be banned before LED. Banning LED would remove Tendrils Storm from the metagame entirely, banning Ad Nauseum would not; that would only remove its 'I win' button.
I played my Counterblade deck against my friends TES deck.
Um, Empty the Warrens loses to an active Batterskull. Best to avoid going that route if you are going against a deck using SFM->Batterskull.
- I figured but I still wanted to reiterate the point. I was suprised myself to see it do so well against ETW tokens. The lack of MMS doesn't mean that SFM/BS is going away.
Anyways, what are your thoughts on CBT decks making a comeback? Do you think people will bother despite vial decks that are likely to make a resurgence?
Forgive me im new to diminishing returns. Does it shuffle back into your deck? I would think it does, but that just seems to good.
Well for all his trash talk and thoughts that TES is worse than ANT, Ari Lax just got 2-0'ed at SCG Indy by it. Wrecked.
While TES is simply better than ANT anyway .... that guy could be playing any combo deck against ANT and winning ... thats just running fucking good, nothing u can do to stop him, hope his good fortune holds. I'd like to see a skill intensive deck win one of these SCG events.
"I just shot Marvin in the face!"
"Why the fuck'd you do that??"
