I also strongly agree with whoever it was who said that 'good players put themselves in a position to capitalize on luck'. This is a pretty broad statement that would apply to things like deck selection, unusual card selection, metagaming, risky plays, etc. All of these only matter if some element of luck intervenes -- e.g. Having a perfectly metagamed deck means nothing if you get (unluckily) paired against a bunch of outlier random decks.
