Vendilion Clique vs Wydwen the Biting Gale

In terms of which is the best 1v1 'I counter all the spells' general.

Clique is often cited as the best general 1v1 but I thought I would consider another option which seems just as strong

Pros for Clique:
Strong ETB ability
1 Mana cheaper than Wydwen

Pros for Wydwen:
You can play black
Dodges removal with the activated ability
3 Toughness so doesn't die to Desert or Spirit token or whatever

The most relevant things are cliques ETB and the ability to play another colour.
Black gives you effects like thoughtseize and inquisition
It also gives you the option to play some stuff that is an out to Thrun, which might be a problem for mono U.

What are your thoughts?

Wydwen, the Biting Gale is good, but there's no replacement for Vendilion Clique 1 vs. 1. The ability to run bounce and put whatever you want on the bottom of their deck, including their general, is crazy.

If you want to be (more) original, use Wydwen. If you want to win, use Clique.
