If so, let's try to get more Legacy Daily Events to fire.
If not, what is holding you back?

The Price of Fow is the biggest barrier to entry, opnce it is reprinted more legacy will pop up.
yeah, once force is actually purchasable Ill be on modo playing for sure... well that and when it doesnt look like a windows 98 application
When lion's eye diamond isn't prohibitively expensive, I'll be storming people out on there. As it stands, doomsday as a deck costs over 700 dollars right now and I don't have that money lying around.
I wish my real life collection ported into modo at close to no charge unfortunately wizards doesn't think so. It's rather annoying to have everything I need in paper but on modo I have close to nothing for legacy except some random commons like brainstorm and dark ritual that cost nothing on modo anyways since they're commons.

I built my legacy deck over the years, im not going to be able to drop $1k on mtgo.
That and the unreasonable prices on some cards, fuck the hoarders.
price, because idea of entering virtual cards market is ridiculously stupid and too insolent for me to ever accept... wasting money and time spent in front of a computer
There are alternatives to playing Force of Will decks, but nothing is quite like it. Since the cost is high to enter, and no legacy dailies ever fire, I can't justify it. If daily events were firing like they were circa 2010-2011, I would definitely splurge and drop $500 on the FoWs, and a deck.
I played for about a month, but the only thing that fires for legacy is 2-mans, so you only have the option to hemorrhage value.
I used to play A LOT in 2010 and 2011, doing a lot of preparation for GP Amsterdam etc. However, once Legacy died to too insane prices on MODO, I pulled the plug.
Right now, the price is too much of a barrier to enter + DE aren't firing because of it. Vicious circle.
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
If you don't need Forces, you'll need either LEDs or Wastelands. All are ridiculously expensive online.
Since I started with the format pretty late in rl, I don't see me spending another 500-1k just to have the opportunity to play a tiny event on a retarded looking software.
Since it is not even the will of WotC to make Legacy easier to enter and they LMAO their butts off for people paying for virtual "cards" in form of Drafts and Standard, I don't see that changing a whole lot.
No. Thanks.

I'm not worried about owning digital (as opposed to "rl") versions of cards. You can still play in tournaments and make money with them.
It's just too high a price to break into the format once you sold out like I did.

I can't for the life of me accept paying real life money for virtual cards which I can't hold or carry around or don't really exist. I can give my dual lands to my kids in 10-15 years time when they are worth a $500-$1000 a piece and watch their awe. I don't know what will become of MTGO in 10-15 years time. Hell, if there is an apocalypse and most of the humanity if wiped out I can still play Magic with my few remaining friends but probably can't use the internet to play MTGO.
I never stopped playing legacy on MTGO in 2man ques.
I remember that daily events were regularly held during last year's legacy season, so legacy will probably be reanimated on MTGO during legacy season (august maybe?).
mainly no time. have the fows, wastelands, etc.
speaking of which, who wants to buy my modo 4x fow 4x jtms 4x wasteland 4x tundra, etc?
thinking about selling all of it to mtgo tr ad ers.

So here's the consensus:
1. Too expensive to buy-in.
2. Not worth having two collections.
3. Used to play when it was hot - now it's not.
This makes MTGO Koby sad :(

I think it really comes down to price. Because price is preventing people from getting in, which is preventing dailies from firing which is preventing people from getting in, etc...
That's what it is for me. I have a full Standard and Modern collection in paper and a full Standard and Modern collection in MTGO. There's no reason to get Legacy because it never fires because it's too expensive, etc...
The other issue is that I use MTGO for testing. If the meta is significantly different on MTGO than it is in Paper, there is less incentive to play. And, you guessed it, that's caused by price.
They could easily solve this problem, but choose not to.
