A little modification on the Tinder card maybe...
Horrifying Bubble B
Creature - Soap Bubble
If you control an Island bury Horrifiying Bubble
Whenever an opponent plays a spell, put a +1/+1 counter on Horrifiying Bubble. Whenever Horrifiying Bubble has 4 or more counters, sacrifice it.
Sacrifice Horrifiying Bubble: Deal damage equal to the number of +1/+1 counters on it to target creature.

It would be awesome to see a fixed encarnation of Yata in Magic
Maybe:
Flashbang Elemental RR
Creature - Elemental
Haste
Sacrifice ~ at the beginning of the next end step.
Whenever ~ deals damage to a player, that player cannot draw cards until that player's end of turn.
Whenever ~ deals damage to a Planeswalker, that Planeswalker cannot be activated until its controller's turn end of turn.

Red needs good cards. Something like this:
Mad Hate
Casting Cost: RR
Sorcery
Name a blue card. Search all opponents libraries and hands for all copies of named card. Take all copies of named card and rip each of them in two.
This is what red needs to be competitive. I might even play red if they printed this card.
I'm not sure I would run this as a R mage. This card is useless when the enemy is in topdeck mode because it's a sorcery, one choice is Duress (which I doubt that R wants to run MB) and the second is great in some scenarios and bad in others. As a DnT player the MU against Burn would probably be better when he has this MB.
Cool SB card against Miracle Control and Sneak Attack (although Show and Tell plays around it).
I don't think that this card will see play.
When Black Vise deserves to be on the Banlist, this spell deserves it much more. Maybe it would be cool to play against such a deck.
This card seems a little bit overpowered to me. Especially in UR Burn.
Looks pretty cool, but I doubt that this card will see much play in the current metagame, where RUG is the most played.
I can't evaluate the power of this card. The synergy with this card and any buff effect is very interesting and a 3/3 body for BB is also not bad.
Also looks interesting.
The problem with cards against Brainstorm is that Combo can play around this (especially when the card costs 2 mana) and the weakening of Control just make glass cannon builds (and builds where cantrips aren't necessary) so much stronger, that the decks running the anti Brainstorm cards get outclassed by those, which will inevitable lead to a meta with a heavy portion of Combo decks.
That's not entirely true. Just like it gave blue massively powerful creatures, W:otC could give other colors better disruption options:

Rather than pay this spell's mana cost, you may exile a card at random from your hand.

He may have forgotten the second part:" When you cast this spell your opponent may search your library for a blue card and reveal it. Then he must scream >>Fuck you blue, youre so unfair<< and tear it into pieces. After that he may call the Judge and ask for DQing the bluemage" Then it would be fair hu?
Nah, to be honest...all these "I want a good card that blue cannot play"-cards/arguments are getting bored. 50% of your stuff is wayyy overpowered (see Force of X) and the other half is plain useless.

Whenever any player casts an instant or a sorcery, counter that spell.
This is not the shitty card creation thread
Whatever hate you will print, blue will always have answers and usual find them faster because of library manipulation and draw. So lets get back and discuss the powerlevel of Brainstorm.
I like the "Players cant draw cards. This doesnt effect the first card drawn during the players draw phase" hatebear though.
We really gotta find a name for the Legacy equivalent of Godwin's Law. With Brainstorm instead of Nazis.
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
I think the rule should rather contain the following sentence: When xy gets banned, I quit playing Magic." And the following thought: "How can this mean company called WotC ban my strategy which worked since 1997? I don't want to adapt!"
Now seriously: The banning of Brainstorm doesn't solve anything. But having something that powerfull in the format that synergys that well with every card that will be printed (especially with mechanics like Miracle, that is basicly only viable with U and cards that draw you many weak cards)and let you use situational cards because they can shuffle it away andin a color which has also the monopol on counterspells (the answer to pretty much everything and the only way to stop Combo reliably), the best 1CC critter (which also violates the color pie), the best plainswalker and no weakness in any department- because the splashing of any color besides U is a piece of cake- just isn't fair to the people that wants to play combinations without U. So something has to be done and people in this forum make up their mind to find a constructive solution to this.
I don't think that the printing of cards that hinder an oponent to draw cards except in their draw phase is the best way, because I have the feeling that hurting this will lead to a rise of combo decks and therefore again to the same situation due to the fact that non U decks have a hard time against combo decks most of the time. But it's nevertheless remarkable that people doesn't scream "Ban xy" and try to find cards that would improve the current metagame.
How about we just stop talking about banning cards?
Please stop talking about whether Force of Will is broken or not. It obviously is, and rather than "the glue that holds vintage together" it would be better to call it "the rug under which you hide the filth until there's so much that you can no longer conceal it".
Since Wotc already screwed up with the color pie in the past, I guess the solution that would make everyone happy here would be to reprint brainstorm in red, green, white and black.
