Well, this thing called variance is not really something I can control. I won almost all my game 1's, but then lost the second due to variance. Imagine not drawing a single answer/threat after 5 fetches + Top in Play and brainstorms. That's just unlucky.
The deck is awesome in testing and I just love my counterbalances. Entreat is such an "oops-i-win" card which the deck really needs.

Got some compliments on how the deck looked though :)

Deck is indeed awesome, mad props on pimp stuff.
..Altough, you do realize, now that you came so far, you will need to upgrade your brainstorms, fetchlands and counterspells. Just don't break my heart and say you love the ugly new DCIs :S

I wouldn't call 3 draws and 2 losses 'unlucky' or 'variance'. Seems your deck just isn't fast enough and/or your sideboard(ing) is bad if you lose all game 2's.

I love my special foil brainstorm... from GP Amsterdam. That's why they won't be upgraded. Fetches I prefer Onslaught, but they're very hard to find and I do like how DCI looks. Counterspells are awesome due to art + flavor ;)

There not hard to find...hard to find under $120 maybe. I remember when they were $15 or so when the rotated from standard.

5 Euro each for both Velinov or Kopinski. If I knew how cool they'd turn out I'd get a lot more :)

Sideboard all foils - Brain Freeze, BSZ, Japanese Turnabout, Intuition, Ravenous Trap, Wipe Away, Hurkyl's Recall, Echoing Truth, Snap, 2 Surgical Extraction, 2 Defense Grid, Pact of Negation, Flusterstorm. There's like 4-5 other sideboard cards that are foil but this is what I had sitting in the deckbox.
