The back side is also SP, not NM. I will keep the card anyway, but I think I'm gonna ask the seller for some compensation. How much do you think I'm rightful to ask for? Considering that my winning bid was 208 $. Thanks for you advice!

These are actually extremely common on ports. They're not scratches, but a printing error. I've seen more jap foil ports with the dots than ones without them. So knowing this, it's probably unethical to ask for a refund since it's not damage.

Keep in mind too that this was the first full production of foils disbursed in boosters. There were a higher frequency of foil-cut lines and other printing errors.

Wow, didn't know about that. Thank you very much, that helped.

Well.. after a long time in the mail, those finally came back to me :)
Though I am extremely grateful that he did sign them, this wasn't the nicest experience I had with an artist. Getting them back with four different signatures and in a (at least I think so) slightly worse condition doesn't help, too.
But oh well, I got them back, so that counts ;D

Matt, if I make it to Denver I'll bring a deck. Are we using http://oldschool-mtg.blogspot.com/p/banrestriction.html rules? Reprints (except for unlimited) are not allowed.

I would be fine with that.

    Important question re 93/94.

If I am at one life, can I use a city of brass, go to zero, then mirror universe for the win?

Of course you can. Also, REB from alpha is unplayable. Interrupts are strictly enforced.

The time wasted in 1997 learning the Interrupt Bubbles will finally pay off.

So I have been testing 93-94 magic on Cockatrice and its a blast. I would probably drop Type1 for it if there was a stronger player base here in the US with tournaments and such, but for now it wont happen.

I have a small pile of stuff for it, but unfortunately all of my duallands are revised as I didn't care to spend the extra amount at the time I was picking them up. But here is some of the other stuff I have..

Why is it that revised is not one of the sets allowed? I mean, it was printed in early 1994 wasn't it?

It was, and it was also printed before Legends and The Dark.

I think looser enforcement is fine if your player group can't afford the other versions. I'd rather have fun than have zero players.

Ditto! Here in Halifax, there is a group of 10-12 people who have interest, but only have Revised duals. We've added Revised as a whole, just to ease the cost of entry.

Here in Toronto we will allow any reprint in order to have enough players. If you can organize a tournament in Hallifax I will definitely come to play it. 93/94 format is way more fun than Type 1.

I think that our homepage might explain it but basicly there is no "real" reason why Revised shouldn't be allowed. The creators have choosen not to allow it simply because of the "pimp"-factor. They wanted more of an old-school format and I personaly hate the look of rev-duals but I can definatly understand why people choose to play with them.

Also, here is my decklist from our recent event, I made it to the finals but we didn't have time to play the finals (but it will be at a later event, I'm trying to get people to film it). We were around 25 players or so.

    4 Tundra
    4 Volcanic Island
    2 Underground Sea
    4 Mishra's Factory
    1 Library of Alexandria
    1 Strip Mine
    3 City of Brass
    1 Maze of Ith

    4 Swords to Plowshares
    3 Disenchant
    1 Divine Offering

    4 Mana Drain
    4 Counterspell
    1 Ancestral Recall
    1 Recall
    1 Time Walk
    1 Braingeyser

    1 Mind Twist
    1 Demonic Tutor

    1 Lightning Bolt
    2 Fireball

    1 Mox Pearl
    1 Mox Sapphire
    1 Mox Jet
    1 Mox Ruby
    1 Mox Emerald
    1 Sol Ring
    4 Fellwar Stone
    2 Disruptive Scepter
    3 Jaymaede Tome

    SB:
    1 Disenchant
    1 Divine Offering
    2 Greater Realm of Preservation
    4 Red Elemental Blast
    4 Blue Elemental Blast
    1 Control Magic
    1 Balance
1 Giant Shark (This is a requirement since I won a signed one in a tournament before, every time you win a signed Shark you have to play it.)
"Think of all we could learn from it! It's the chance of a lifetime! You must let me have it! It's a magnificent specimen!"

Thanks for the list, I could not find it on http://oldschool-mtg.blogspot.ca/. Why not take a nice picture of the deck too and post it her :P !
