    Can we do this?

    //Sideboard
    [4x] Reverent Silence
    [3x] Surgical Extraction
    [2x] Nature's Claim
    [2x] Sickening Shoal
    [2x] Verdant Catacombs
    [1x] Forest
    [1x] Snapcaster Mage

It's fine. Snapcaster Mage doesn't seem good though. Remember: if you're casting Dread Return, you're winning. You could ideally run like maybe one AoD or something similar in the board, but SCM seems a little too cute.

Snapcaster on Surgical probably is too cute. Seems silly fun though.

    AoD? Help me out.

Is there any way you could merge Ichorid and "The Gate" into some kind of unholy mono-black combo/aggro/control hybrid? That would be cool.

    Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid

Here's the report from MTG Deals.

    Round 1 - Junk

Game 1 he opens with thoughtseize, and sees that i'm on manaless dredge. Targeted discard makes sure I never reach 8 cards in hand and he wins the game with confidant and souls. Game 2 I kept a fast hand with an arbor but anti-hate in it, he's got the turn 2 RiP into Deathrite Shaman into Relic and it's like all of a sudden he's playing the unfair deck.
    0-1

    Round 2 - RUG Delver

Game 1, I get a quick start and ichorids bring him down fairly quickly. Game 2, I start with discarding a grave troll. On his end step, I go to cycle a street wraith and he surgicals in response. I had thought cycling was still a special action and didn't use the stack, but the judge ruled that it does use the stack under the M10 change and I couldn't regain tempo before I died. Game 3, I get some fast ichorids off phantasmagorian, and just kill him.
    1-1

    Round 3 - RUG Delver

I don't really have anything in my notes for this round. But I think I win both games with zombies and ichorids.
    2-1

    Round 4 - UB Reanimator

Game 1 goes really long with him stealing my Griselbrand the turn before I can dread return it, but I had a narcomoeba and 3 bridges to keep him from attacking. Eventually the zombies get there. Game 2 I lost to Elesh Norn. Game 3, he went for a fast Elesh Norn to try and put me off my game early, but I had Noxious Revival. I saw his hand a turn later and it's 4 or 5 fatties and no discard, so I start dredging and win when I bring back Griselbrand.
    3-1

Round 5 - Koby with ANT

Koby won the roll and took a chance that I was still playing the deck after the last tournament, putting me on the play. So he gets an extra turn with a deck that's already a turn faster, and I have no therapies. Game 2, I put him on the play, but he has the turn 1 duress and I have something relevant to take. Two turns later, he storms out.

    3-2

At this point, I thought I was out of top 8, but decided to play a round for practice and stay in it. When they put up standings, I'm in 8th, so it's off to round 6 for a hopeful win and in.

Round 6 - Tim with GB Pox (?)

Game 1 he didn't do anything exciting and Griselbrand comes back to win it. Game 2, I brought in 3 Silence, 2 Revival, 1 Contagion 2 Verdant Catacombs. He mulls to 3 to find a leyline and finally does. I have 2 dryad arbors and decide to go on that plan before eventually finding a Silence. I cast it, and on my end step he extirpates it. Then untaps and plays another. I eventually have 3 Arbors but they can't get there before he deeds and I scoop, having no remaining anti-hate in my deck. For game 3, I put the 2 Revivals back and something else for 3 Nature's Claim to get around the extirpate.

The game starts with him mulling to 6 and keeping with a leyline. My hand was Forest, Catacombs, Claim and business. He does nothing turn 1, I draw and play catacombs. He plays Deathrite Shaman on his turn, and on his end step I claim the Leyline. He extirpates at the end of my turn, and plays a second leyline on his turn 4. I draw and exile for a couple turns then draw into Silence, cast it and watch it get extirpated. Figuring that I've seen probably over half of his hate, I thought I was safe, so I kill the Shaman which is the only pressure I've seen from him in any of the 3 games, and figure I have time to rebuild and go off. He untaps and plays the third leyline, and with no answers remaining, I scoop. After the game, he told me the only reason he kept was he had 3 leylines and an extirpate.

It was an extremely bad beat, but it was one of those games where any way I played it, the result would have been the same.

    Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid

ended at 3rd place in a legacy tournament yesterday december 2,2012 (70 players)

    i use this build

    maindeck: 60
    4 Golgari gravetroll
    4 stinkweed imp
    4 golgari thug
    4 dakmor salvage
    4 ichorid
    4 narcomoeba
    4 nether shadow
    4 bloodghast
    4 phantasmagorian
    4 streetwraith
    4 gitaxian probe
    4 bridge from below
    4 cabal therapy
    4 dread return
    2 griselbrand
    2 flayer of the hatebound

    SB: 15
    4 dryad arbor
    4 reverent silence
    2 natures claim
    1 verdant catacombs
    1 forest
    3 soul spike

    Round 1 vs BR zombies (2-0) - ^_^

    Round 2 vs merfolk (0-2)
yeah i know its funny but its one of those games wherein you need atleast 1 bridge to show up to close the game but no bridge showed up in 1/8 of your library remaining for 2 games in a row

    Round 3 vs Esperblade (2-0)
game 1 - he started the game on the play (oh yeah!) playing thoughtseize targeting my narcomoeba in hand, but i drawed 2 streetwraith and was able to build my zombie hordes and go for the kill
game 2 -he didnt do anything for 2 turns not until he can play lingering souls. i got 1 SW and 1 probe in hand, then combo'ed out on my 3rd turn via griselbrand, flayer and troll for the kill

Round 4 vs UW miracles (2-0)
game 1 - he was able to delay me by playing terminus on my zombie horde but eventually he didnt drawed another terminus to save him.
game 2 - he played ghostly prison on his 3rd turn. but i played 2 resolved DR targeting 2 flayer of the hatebound shooting him for the kill.

    Round 5 vs junk (2-0)
game 1 - i was shocked when he played deathrite shaman. good thing i have 1 phantasmagorian, 2 nether shadow, 1 troll and 1 wraith, and 1 ichorid. produced atleast 8 zombies on my turn as answer. he got no answer, win!
game 2 - he played 2 deathrite shaman and worship?? on his 3rd turn. DR'ed grisel and my library turned upside down and eventually shooting his dudes w/ flayer and bloodghast for the win.

Round 6 vs BG rock (2-0)
game 1 - i thought ill be locked up when he played deathrite shaman w/ a swamp. dropped DR in my GY then he played wasteland on his turn (yey! no green mana!) then i drop thug in my yard and the rest is history.
game 2 - i dont know what to board in. i have this "ritual" to wait and see what the opponent will board in against me before packing my deck w/ sideboards. eventually he mulled down to 5 and i think i know whats coming. and he got it! playing Leyline of the Void in opening hand (OMG). but i didnt pack up for game 3 right away, waited till he delivers his final blow just to see if theres any more hate. he played slaughter games naming reverent silence on his 4th turn (good thing i didnt board in any). he found nothing. eventually i lose
game 3 - he mulled down to 5 card and he got his leyline. i got 1 natures claim, 2 reverent silence in opening hand w/o dryad arbor. he played thoughtseize on his 1st turn got my reverent silence and prayed he got no surgical in hand. i drawed dryad arbor on my turn and killed his lotv. i started to build my GY and eventually he got no answer for a resolved griselbrand. WIN!

    Round 7 vs Ant (2-0)
good thing he's in our team and we agreed that ill be the one who'll play in the top 8 matches coz whoever wins, will be facing UW miracles.

ended at 1st place after swiss

    Top 8 match:

Round 1 vs UW miracles (2-0)
game 1 - same thing happened they delayed me by playing terminus and playing STP on my cretures. after building 12 zombies he didnt have an answer. win!
game 2 - i swing w/ 1 shadow and 1 ichorid, he played STP to ichorid to prevent me from fueling my DR to play grisel. good thing i got 2 bridge and 1 cabal in GY, i sacrifice shadow to get 2 zombies naming force of will. he showed his hand and he got no countermagic in handy. played dryad arbor from hand and DR'ed grisel for the win!

Round 2 vs GW maverick / death and taxes (or i thought it was)
game 1 - turn 2 DR'ed grisel for the win
game 2 and 3 - he got all his GY hate in opening hand, playing teeg, rest in peace, thalia and tormods crypt (OMG all star cast!). i lose T_T

only got a 1 scavenging ooze as a prize.

    thanks for reading.

Well there's not a single dredger yeah.. but it's monoblack, aggro-combo.. I guess no real control part out of Liliana and it needs the graveyard a lot.

    Re: [Deck] Manaless Ichorid

Hey guys, I've been playing manaless for the last few months mostly running hollywoods list and as of late people in my meta have been packing rest in peace quite often. My question is what do we board out to board in all of our anti hate. It's the only thing I have issues with is figuring out what to pull.

I had a friend who use to trade for some stupid card he hated and then rip them up in front of the guy he just got them from. In the end, it just cost him lots of good cards he traded away for them and didn't really make an impact on the supply.

That's just "spoilt little rich kid" kinda childish. Hate to think what he'd do when a girlfriend leaves him.

    Well done rektareloaded.
How are you finding only having 2 Grisel?
I used 2 before I got the third one, and I found I just couldn't find one when I needed, all too often.
Are you finding that having extra draw in Probe helps you to find Grisel when you need them?

    And;
How is Dakmor/Ghast working out for you?
Have you found it consistent enough for you to include it over Dryad Arbor in the main, considering you're running Probes?

    Just a casual note here;
I love that Nether Shadows are White bordered. Makes it so easy to find the suckers amongst all the chaff.
I kinda wish some of the other cards, like Ichorid, had a white bordered version too.....
