Great report, thanks for sharing.
I definitely do find Liliana to be scary only from people that know how to use it - maybe there are more of those around here, because it usually got me before I started playing purges. If they don't aggressively ultimate or don't understand what to hit you can usually play through it.

sauce, I think it is fine against shardless, jund, combo decks that run force of will, and junk. I feel like that is enough to justify playing it. But yes, it does not come in as often as it did at the start of the year when jund was all over the place.
My memory might not be correct. I know Joe's won Standard SCG Open, but it's irrelevant in a Legacy forum. I know Rip-Helm Miracle has won trophy(s) before, but not the spell-angel version. Correct me if someone (including Joe) has ever won GP/SCG Open trophy with spell-angel version within last 12 months.
Oarsman/Joe won Denver back in the Summer, and of course it was in the last 12 months since Avacyn Restored was also just about 12 months ago. ^.^

Any comments on Vendilion Clique and Venser Shaper Savant?

They are awesome. I understand that stoneforge/equipment or RIP/Helm give benefits that are easier to see on the surface, but I am very happy with my creatures. I would not go so far as to say they are strictly better though. Each of the three alternatives occupy different spots on the counterbalance curve, and will influence how the deck plays.
Playing the legendary creatures is likely the most reactive, and will force the most decision making.
RIP/Helm gives a huge advantage in some matchups, and having an instant kill is always going to be desirable.
A stoneforge package will probably be best against aggro, is cheap, and provides a valuable shuffle.
And this is assuming that choosing a group does not influence the card choices in the rest of the deck, which is obviously not true. If you are starting out with the deck just pick one and go from there. When I picked up the deck I started with Squadron Hawks and no Counterbalance. And that wasn't bad either.
Any chance of Squadron Hawk making a comeback? Caw Cartel was so sweet.

Has anyone tried other flashy creatures with disruption capabilities in this deck like voidmage husher or aven mindcensor?
One card I have considered for Show and Tell variants is: Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir. If you can EOT, get it to resolve, Show and Tell's counters become useless, how good is sorcery speed REB/Pyro? You can then just 1-for-1 from there.
Or instead of trying to resolve a 5-drop against a combo deck, you could play a more generally applicable 2-drop like, I dunno, Ethersworn Canonist that also has the advantage of being tutorable. Oh, and doesn't get Pyroblasted.
I'm very confident this isn't new tech or a problem looking for an answer...

The fourth package is Elspeth/Entreat the Angels.I think the deciding point is that Stoneforge/equpiment doesn't work in tandem with Terminus/Supreme Verdict. What I like about Vendilion Clique is that it gives the deck a proactive disruption plan (discard) without playing black; and Venser is direct hate against Sneak Show.

Tried mindcensor, was not impressed - I'd rather stick with more Cliques. Right now I wouldn't leave home without at least 2-3 Cliques in the 75.
I can't see that ever happening in a real match. It will either be too late or not resolve. Teferi is cute, but REB is a card - Teferi won't live very long.
i've seen dzra play restoration angel in the snapcaster/sfm UW blade list before... i think clique/venser and snapcaster are awesome in that order except i would not play snapcaster in the RIP/helm version.

Yeah, Restoration Angel was some sick Stoneblade tech back when the meta was flooded with RUG. The thing that all the creatures we play have in common is that they all have enter the battlefield triggers. Flash is nice, but with all the removal and Terminus flying around, the more important part is getting your value on the front end.
I'm playing with three Vendilions, three Snapcasters and a Venser main deck but I was asking for other possible candidates to enter in the regular Miracles build. I'm aware about the power of the canonist but I think I have enough stuff in my 75 to beat combo without her. She is useful if you run tutors but I'm playing without RIP and preffer not to be tapped out. Teferi is just too expensive. I'd like to try the voidmage husher but it's casting cost is pretty high. I don't want to increase the cc4 curve of the deck but she doesn't need a Karakas on the table to come back to your hand and that can be very handy. It's her ability worth it? I'll test her instead of Venser for a while and will see![]()
