It's not a great time to be an Elf player's wallet, though ;__;
Back to good ol' Therapy board. Thinking of adopting the above blue sideboard (with a Teeg) so my wallet hates me less.

From an aethetic perspective, I'm very happy with both Llanowar and Fyndhorn. Mostly because of the old frames and because I have a major affinity for Beta cards.
I tried to get this discussion started, but nobody bit. Here we go again. Does everyone think that Crop Rotation will get the cut post-Legendary rules' change?
The Quad Cities: twice as nice as the Twin Cities.
That's interesting. I didn't think they would print a new kind of Llanowar Elves since Arbor Elf had gained the basic sets.
However, I disagree with your comment. I think my Foil Portuguese 7th Ed. Llanowar Elves is actually pretty beautiful.
I'll probably just replace the non-Foil Fyndhorn elves for a Foil of this new Elvish Mystic - you know, for "Foilness" reasons![]()
7th ed foil is pretty cool. I've never actually had the chance to see one in-person.
Random thought: another thing that I've considered is adding the Progenitus to the maindeck because I bring it in against any fair deck. And that's a majority of my match ups.
The Quad Cities: twice as nice as the Twin Cities.
I test 3 Rotation + 4 cradles because Rotation is still amazing mid combo, post Regal Force or to tutor Bojaku Bog/Karakas.
In terms of Regal Force, I now understand why peeps cut it in favor of a second Hoof. I'm toying a lot around as of late aka 3rd fattie (Terastodon,Progenitus, etc.) or 4 Vengevines instead of the fattie/NO package

Hard to say. Actually I am still thinking about 1 Crop Rotation/3 (maybe 4) Gaea's Cradles split. With Rotation you can still cheat another Cradle into play when you have already played a land. And Crop Rotation is important when you have Karakas and Bojuka Bog in sideboard.
I'm probably going to have some number of rotations still to serve as cradles 5-8. Don't forget it counters a wasteland activation. In addition to karakas and bog in the sb, the option to find horizon canopy is probably going to be even more important given that we may have excess mana more times now and would thus rather have a cantrip. Pendelhaven is also an option if you want to mess with combat tricks.
Lol Cradle jumped from 160€ to 400€-900€ on MCM. Can not resist to put my cradles back there for those prices.

I went and checked on MCM, where did you see those prices?

My friend back home who I share a collection with has access to playsets of basically all the non fringe cards, and most of those as well, so card availability is a non issue. I have always really loved elf combo, and I did a lot of developing on survival elves when it first got big. I'm pretty blown away by some of the new cards that recently got printed (Death rite shaman and griselbrand are fucking retarded). I just want to ask about optimized lists or any kind of meta-game deck tweaks I should see. If someone wants to share a decklist, with some explanations that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.
Also, is this a better choice than show and tell? I also want to attack with yawgmoths bargain.
You'll see standard shells posted within the last few pages. Current Elves is not an all-in combo deck in the vein of the PT Berlin -era builds. The last two versions of the deck - the current GBw Natural Order Elves and the former GW Mirror Entity builds are both aggro-oriented midrange first, combo second. This doesn't mean you don't have draws where you just Hoof them for 40 T3 or that T2 value Glimpse just randomly kills them (hey, we're fair, we're only casting Ancestr-- oh, sorry, seems it said draw 20 instead. 15 power on the board, full grip of cards, go), but overall the deck isn't as hellbent on comboing out. Just three dudes on the boardwhen Craterhoof comes into play is enough to kill.
The black splash does wonders for the combo matchup. It's not merely bad instead of an autoloss. Yes, Griseltard is retarded. Do your gray matter a favour and play a deck that requires brain activity.
I'd say Show and Derp => Griseltard /Omnidrool is a better deck. It's just much more difficult to hate out, unlike Elves that are hit by pretty much any and all forms of hate imaginable. (Yes, I want them banned)

Here is a list I piloted to 2nd (again this month) yesterday at my LGS. Library in the main was a choice due to the higher number of fair decks in the room playing sweepers. I saw multiple Supreme Verdicts spread out across only 12 players. I still don't own a Karakas, otherwise I'd play one.

Simply:
Round 1 vs. Burn - He plays maindeck Cave-In in addition to the normal burn cards. Didn't see that coming. I lose game one to it. Games two and three, I don't overextend and side in NO-Pro to beat him twice.
Round 2 vs. BUG Delver - He flips two Delvers and gets me to 8 before I Glimpse chain him for the win. He tries to Daze an early Glimpse, but doesn't see the Symbiote on-board trick to pay for it. Game two, I NO-Pro him on turn three.
Round 3 vs. Sneak and Show - He casts turn three SnT for Emrakul and I put down a Bayou. On my one free turn, I go for the Glimpse chain, fizzle out, and die to Emmy. Game two, I side in Therapy, Teeg, Thorn, and Pridemage. I draw three Therapy and leave him with no business spells, but multiple fatties. I do some anemic beat down and get there after finding a GSZ for Teeg that limited him to only SnT as an out. Game three, same thing as game two with a Thorn in play to boot. He kinda drew shitty this game too.
Round 4 vs. Deathrite Blade - We decide to draw, but play game one for shits and gigs. I Glimpse chain him on turn three, but it was classic. He said to me "you have no mana" when Glimpse resolved and then I promptly dropped Cradle for my turn. His facial expressions changed from curious to despondent pretty quickly. Eventually he gets the Hoof for a lot.
Top 4 vs. Dredge - He destroys me game one after winning the die roll. I seriously thought the series was over when he won the roll, but I guess I'm a pessimist. Game two, I side in Bog and Ooze and have access to Bog via Rotation in my opener. With Narcomoebas on the stack, I clear his graveyard and steal game two with one card. Game three, I mulligan to four on the draw. I'm the one feeling despondent now. But I pull up my four and see this: Bojuka Bog, Scavenging Ooze, Nettle Sentinel, Nettle Sentinel. I'll keep that. The important part of the game happens when he casts Careful Study and dumps his only two dredgers in the graveyard. On my turn, I play the Bog and follow it up with Ooze the next turn, but I only have one Forest. He gets some gas, but Ooze eats every Ichorid and I win several turns later. Definitely my favorite game all day.
Top 2 vs. Deathrite Blade - He wins in two easily. After running hot in the semis, I was ice cold in the finals. I had to mulligan both games and both were mediocre keeps at best. Jitte won the first game and Supreme Verdict killed NO-Pro in the second not once, but twice. Oh well 4-1-1 on the day.
The Quad Cities: twice as nice as the Twin Cities.
So since ruric thar has been released and added to my sideboard, almost every game 2 I find myself siding him in because he generally hurts my opponent more than me. I'm probably going to start running him main deck.

Combo Elves
WB Tokens

Hi everyone.
Today I did some trading and got the core of my new elf Combo deck for some Dual lands and some Mana ramp. So I have the main Skeleton, a deal lined up for the Cradle's and I am about say $35 off finishing what I am about to post. What I am asking for is any advice you may have on the deck list. I wish to stay Mono green for the time being as I really do not have the money to splash on Duals right now.
So here it is:
Creatures: 34
1 Craterhoof Behemoth
2 Elvish Archdruid
4 Elvish Visionary
1 Eternal Witness
3 Fyndhorn Elves
4 Heritage Druid
2 Llanowar Elves
4 Nettle Sentinel
1 Priest of Titania
4 Quirion Ranger
1 Regal Force
1 Viridian Shaman
4 Wirewood Symbiote
Other Spells: 10
2 Crop Rotation
4 Glimpse of Nature
2 Green Sun's Zenith
2 Natural Order
Lands: 16
1 Dryad Arbor
13 Forest
2 Gaea's Cradle
Sideboard:
1 Bojuka Bog
2 Elvish Archdruid
3 Krosan Grip
3 Mindbreak Trap
1 Progenitus
1 Scavenging Ooze
2 Tormod's Crypt
2 Vexing Shusher
I have a full playset of Green Sun, but I cut two for Crop. I only have the two Natural order and have not the money to get any more for a little while. Other than that I should be good for all suggestions.
Thank you.
Dice.
I don't think you need 4 Quirion Ranger. They're useful in the Deathrite Shaman version since it protects your lands from Wasteland. I'd play 3. I'm not sure I like the Eternal Witness or the two archdruids. If you're playing archdruids and priest of titania you SHOULD have 4 green sun's zenith, especially considering you're running only 2 Natural Order. Furthermore, green sun's zenith acts likes a mana elf turn 1, being able to grab dryad arbor.
My deck is almost done being built, missing the NOs, and should be good to go. :)
Also, main differences between GB and GBW Elves?
