I'd thriow away such ugly Strands the minute I'd get them. But the auction is strange...

I'm hoping it's closed down before end of auction. There's no way it's legit, my mate asked if he would do shipping internationally to get a conversation going and he said, yeah but it's easier to do it off ebay so send your email and ill send an invoice
    dodgy!

So the seller offered to close the auction through private mail? Now you have a good point vs him, just report to ebay the fact that he was using ebay private messages system to close a private deal off ebay and his account will be put on hold or closed or something like that.

Went outside ebay as described in a previous post. He initiated a deal through ebay messaging after i enquired about shipping. Then asked for paypal email and sent me an invoice which i paid.

So i am therefore outside any type of ebay buyer protection, but what can i do? Can paypal help?

Looks like people still fall to this :D
Ask paypal if you can cancel it or sth.
If he confirms the shipping and adds a tracknig number, for the empty package he is sending to you, you lost your money i guess.

    Anyway, more pimp stuff pls
No russian Foil Ooze and Mutavaults out yet?

What cards did you buy? How much did you pay? It may be too late now, but it is fraud if you don't get what was promised so you can report it to the police. Keep us updated.

paypal offers a differnt version of buyer protection. look into it. I've used it before.

BTW Paypal and ebay share the same parent company.

#13 at the link below. Start reading for eligibility. If your invoice was marked as a service, you are FU*KED. I'd still call paypal to see what they can do.

I don't want to hijack a tread about pimp cards, so I will only post once more after this to inform about any kind of resolution.

It was an auction for a playset foil Wasteland. I paid $425. Paypal does offer buyer protection, but it seems the scammer has marked the invoice as "service" which i can read in Paypals user agreement is not eligible under their buyer protection. This buyer protection can only be activated once you have received the item and filed a complaint, but I am contacting Paypal Monday morning to try and explain the situation and ask for a cancellation of the payment. Also phoned my bank, but. they cannot help.
