I don't dare to make a statement for the whole European metagame but I know that combo decks are very popular in Italy, the Netherlands and in the north of Germany. In the last local tourney in Berlin there was about 1/3 combo decks of Storm, S&T (including Reanimator), Elves and Painter among others.
I expect a lot of hate in the future (no Goblin.dec dares to Show up without MD Thalia here) and so do in Paris. I may take a menace of hatebears and Chalice into consideration for the tweeks of my 75 because the european meta isn't comparable to the one in SCG Open. Peeps are used to face a lot of combo. Maybe I even take my Elves + Super Secret Miracles variant with me to switch if the meta is too hostile. Can't reveal my possible changes by now ;)

A few Dutch players are on 4x Duress and 3x Silence.
Not me though, I love me some Silences.![]()
The problem with Silence vs Duress is that it's not as mana efficient, besides only having 6 lands to cast Silence compared to 11 lands to cast Duress you rarely City of Brass, go over any other land in your hand. What I find happening is that I would've rather dropped Underground Sea and cast a Duress in the place of the 4th Silence as opposed to having dropped Underground Sea and holding Silence to where I'm now a mana down over the course of the game. As much as I like Silence, for me the dilemna is Silence, and for that matter Cabal Therapy, is awkward compared to Duress in IRL situations because you tend to hold back City of Brass for Underground Sea to play around Wasteland blind so you just end up getting Thought Seized etc.
I've also liked the SBed Infernal Tutor and 4th Fetch Land quite a bit, 13 land feels like a sweet spot.
I'm not sure whether I can make it. And if I will, there's no telling what I'll play. I own almost every relevant deck in Legacy, so I might play OmniHalls, Team Amercia, Canadian Thresh, Maverick, one of the Natural Order variants or whatever. I tend to fail with TES, so if I attend a big one, I'm probably playing something else.
Hey guys, I know it's been awhile but I think I may begin to write a tournament report after I get out of work tonight. I'm not writing for any websites right now, so it's likely going to be directly posted here on MTGTheSource. I took some pretty damn good notes, some crazy things happened, Grapeshot single handily solidified my chances at a top 8 and there was also some other great things. Hope you all will enjoy it!
I'm not sure when it'll go live.

Can someone tell me or just just do it themselves and link, I'm looking for my matches from Baltimore and Philly from twitch but the link cropped to the match itself. Thanks in advance.
The way to do it with a twitch vod is: <link>?t#h#m#s. For example, I could link the specific time Tom T posted like this: http://www.twitch.tv/scglive/b/458303326?t=11h23m39s
Oh shit! Internet high five for this man!
Edit: Both videos added.
Congrats Bryant on Top 8'ing. Rough beats losing to Gobbos though. Still nice. Looking forward to the report. Maybe talk to Roxie Cards if you would like to do articles. I know the guy who runs the site and could ask him if you would like.
Just because I was recently asked how to keep track of life/mana/storm:
