The creature base and the removal suite is completely new. I can give you the list via facebook. I would be happy to discuss it in the thread but I respect his decision not to let it become public. Just PM me your FB details.

This is a bit embarrassing Sasan. If you have a secret, just keep it. Don't tell everyone you have a secret that is of real interest due to it's "groundbreakingness" but you cannot tell it right now. On top of that you even post in public that someone else will be informed.

You can also send me a PM with the list. I won't share it ... I swear to Jace!

hehe Carsten always tells me that everyone who wants to play his lists can have it. It is just needed to name him as the deck builder in the register sheets for the grand prix. His intention is that the opponents do not know his main deck. So I can give the list to the ones I know and trust. No big deal. The statement was made so that you know that the most recent lits are not perfect to his mind. That information was the main reason of my post :)

...and I assume you don't trust me.... :)

Here is my deal for Carsten - You share his list with me (and the thoughts behind the new techs).
I won't play his deck - I am just very curious.

Then in case I meet him at the GP I will tell him what I play. That is a much bigger advantage for him than for me because I know he is on burg anyway and I am either "unknown" for him or he remembers how I beat him once and associates me with a completely different deck than the one I play on the GP.

    Another topic:
I'm a big fan of 3 and 4 drops in the sideboard to fight mid/lategame decks such as Miracle,Uw Stoneblade,Nic Fit and Bug control.
Dropping a thrun against nic fit is so powerful that i can't image to go to a tournament without him.
I would like to gather a list with all 3 and 4 drops (creatures, planeswalker in general) which can be put in our sideboard.
Maybe there are really strong bombs out there that i have not considered yet.
Here are a couple of cards i already had in my sb so far:

    •Thrun the last Troll
    •Jace the Mind Sculptor
    •Garruk Relentless
    •Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver
    •Natural Order-> Sigarda

•Flametongue Cavu was also mentioned by my friend but it's to cute i guess.

    Any other suggestions?

I have also been considering something for a while. Taking a burn-like path, just to ignore a nemesis meta. This would mean : +2 Chain lightning, 4 Shaman, no decays MD, no tarmogoyf, no taiga. But it's a very risky bet. Decay is such a powerful card.

    A draft would be

    6 Duals
    8 Fetchs
    4 Waste

    4 Delver
    4 Shaman
    3 Goose
    1 Snapy
    1 Clique

(I considered Mangoose out for Cliques, or even Tombstalker (with some other changes for this one ^^) because mangoose doesńt fly, but it's a bad idea)

    2 Chain
    4 Bolt

    2 Snare
    1 Pierce
    4 Stifle
    4 Daze
    4 FoW

    4 Ponder
    4 Brainstorm

May be worth a try :). What are your thoughts ?

(I may actually bring it to a tournament, with 1 Decay in my Sideboard)

That's a pretty childish way to handle the simple exhumation of the oct/nov tech: TNN

Still like playing 4 DRS, 4 Delver, 3 TNN, 2 Liliana main

    Re: [Deck] bUrg Tempo

I went to a small local event tonight and took my take on our Berlin list (+1 Deathrite, -1 Goyf, +1 Abrupt Decay, -1 Spell Snare).

Instead of the two Dismember, I brought two Diabolic Edict just to try them out. I thought that going into Paris, I would want a slightly higher removal density due to Spirit of the Labyrinth. Edict is a cool way to deal with Nemesis, too - and as it is an Instant, I sort of wonder why I had never tested it before.

I went 3:1 and 7:2 in games. I won 2 times against UWR, 1 against Elves. The loss was to Manaless Ichorid. Man, I hate that deck.
    Edict seemed sweet.

    Judge: "True. It tarmogoyfs."

Took a break from HeisenbUrg and played elves at my local and got crushed. Two of my buddies played HeisenbUrg and went 3-1.

    Creature Configuration
    4 Delver
    4 Deathrite
    4 Tarmogoyf

I can see the appeal of that configuration, pretty cool.

Just a meta-reaction to the decks slow Mongeese, DRS-wars and RIP ... As long as you Stifle/snare the whole SFM/Batterskull overdose and drop your TNN first, all is fine. Liliana is the much better walker compared to Ashiok as it gives you outs against the usual creatures and S&T. Good luck sticking the SFM+TNN nonsense against Spell Snares and repeditive edict-effects.

i'm using this for the creatures:

    4 Delver
    4 Mongoose
    3 Deathrite

do you guys like Vendilion MB? i was thinking about adding one (without taking any of the current creatures out), and was also thinking about 1x Snapcaster Mage mb, have anyone tried him yet? is it good?

the replacement of dismember for diabolic edict sounds great, gonna test it this week

Liliana does not work at all because of our manabase and our opponent playing wasteland.
My friend tested it just for fun a few weeks ago here in some local events and he never casted her because he was colourblocked all the time.
Usually if you have 3 lands in play they would be one copy of each dual,so ashiok could be cast but not liliana.

    The creature configuration
    4 Delver
    4 Goose
    3 Shaman
    Is great,i liked it a lot during autumn-decembre 2013.
11 Creatures allowed me to play more reactive spells such as the 7th removal, more countermagic or even sylvan library.
The only downside was the fact that i could not apply (enough) pressure to knock my opponent dead before he recovered.

Vendillion clique is fine,go for it.
Snapcaster is kinda similar to sylvan library, the deck becomes more controlish and less aggressive.
I personally would like to have more aggressive beatsticks to close out the game really quickly instead of giving my opponent a ton of draws before he dies.

One is a sideboard card, the other one (Liliana) main as you suggested which is a difference.
Oh and you want both cards versus other decks.. if you board Thrun versus Miracles you rarely have to fear wastelands.

Still that does dictate how you use your own Wastelands. Don't see how 3cc cards shall be uncastable withing 22-23 mana-sources but a 4cc one is fine within 20 sources.

You seem to miss that I don't run any cards that require green mana mainboard, so unless I play against Reanimator, I'm fine having Sea+Volc+Sea within my developed manabase which is BUrg and not bUrG like lists with Mongeese and Goofy

It's a nice idea ! Your mana base looks more solid but your spells cost more.

But with Liliana, you pay 3, and you're not sure to kill the creature you wanted (not even sure to kill a creature - it will get countered), whereas Decay is an uncounterable spell for 2. You can full tap without fear. If the opponent has 1 Nemesis otB, a Goose can handle it (you kill with Shaman/Delver), if he has 2 TNNs, Liliana can't help you either.
Did you test a Liliana BUrg list ? Isn't it too slow ? (Against rug for instance)

I'll adress the topic of the manabase and stuff after the podcast record scheduled for today. Be asured, I did not just replace the creatures without any reflection in the manabase

Decay can't handle TNN or fuck over a player trying to resolve a Show&Tell. Goose can't kill nor damage nor block TNN ... I fail to see how that card can "handle" TNN. If your opponent has 2 TNN on the battlefield, I suppose you did not board REB and Golgari Charm ;p

The list is sure slower, but with Reanimator and Loam on the rise, I guess having more DRS MB is a valid counterargument, while the setup with TNN let you just laugh in the face of RIP and DRS which are indeed problems for a setup with Goose+Goofy. With you being likely the first deck to drop TNN and with Bolts for reach, you should win any damage race as long as you keep Equipment off the table with snare+stifle.

I doubt I have to drop any extended essay about how TNN + Liliana dominate fair matchups ;)
