I had been busy with my enchantress deck for a while after I had got back from deployment about a year ago, I wanted to brush off an old deck that I had fun playing with before which was a WG Turbo-fog deck. I noticed however, that there seems to be rather good amount of SnT decks. So I wanted to gear the deck towards preventing the enemy' attack phase rather than preventing the damage. With that, I feel as though dropping the green is a necessary move. Currently what I have in mind is the following:
21 Snow-covered Plain
3 Mikokoro, Center of the Sea
4 Leyline of Sanctity
4 Font of Mythos
4 Temple Bell
4 Howling Mine
4 Angel's Grace
4 Orim's Chant
4 Peace Talks
4 Festival
4 Empty City Ruse
//Sideboard
3 Isochron Scepter
1 Sunstone
3 Silence
3 Witchbane Orb
3 Surgical Extraction
2 Ray of Distortion
Any suggestions or comments are welcome. I understand most people won't take the deck seriously hence why I posted it in casual. Thank you.
Just wanted to say: thank you for this deck. It is hilarious, fun to play, and just plain weird (after playing thousands of decks, I tend to like the weird one). I still have this deck.
I can't offer much advice. Haven't played competitive magic in a while.
From my experience, I'm not convinced we can make the SnT match even remotely decent. Main likely needs scepter (should do this if mono white anyways), Karakas, and e-tutor tricks. E-tutor may become even more valuable when your overall gameplan becomes more and more specialized, since it gives you the variety you need elsewhere. The side may need anti-permission. I like Anvil more than Font. That 4 mana requirement hurts.

You could also pack one emrakul main for graveyard recursion, and then some in the board for show and tell. You'd still have to run pithing needle for the sneak, though.
IMO the best way to beat SnT is not just to prevent the combat step but to prevent the creatures too! It sucks when they Sneak Attack out Griselbrand, draw 14, and triple Force of Will all your combat phase skippers.
I hear you're playing mono W creatureless control: Humility
I'd switch Angel's Grace and Silence. AG does little against ToA for twenty, you'll lose on your next turn. It does little to protect you from opposing FoW.
Also, I support maindeck Scepter. (and you definitely need Humility/Obl. Ring somewhere in your 75.)
Good luck with your pet deck! I always wanted to build this monstrum, but then I always chickened out...![]()
If you want to play Turbofog, I'd play this:
//18 instant:
4 Swords to Plowshares
4 Orim's Chant
4 Pollen Lullaby
4 Dawn Charm
2 Riot Control
//11 artifact:
4 Isochron Scepter
4 Howling Mine
3 Temple Bell
//11 Big permanents:
4 Leyline of Sanctity
3 Humility
2 Wrath of God
2 Gideon Jura
//20 land:
4 Ancient Tomb
2 Karakas
1 Mikokoro
1 Kor Haven
12 Plains
//Sideboard:
3 Pithing Needle
4 Defense Grid
3 Disenchant
3 Rest in Peace
2 Helm of Obedience
